The writer has his opinion. Fine.
What do these people who write these opinion pieces expect anyway?

I thought the article was omewhat tendentious. I'm not thoroughly familiar with the area but I do'nt think it was ever really a hotbed of commerce, not like further north in the Queens Blvd area (to those with a better Queens undertanding correct me). Also, I undertsand this is not Off Topic but, could not the restlessness be a result of the blessing of diversity.
