Does anyone knows if Parx has a room similar to Aqueduct's players room having booths with personal betting computers?

Last time I was in Chester I found out they have booths but I could not find a plug for my laptop... I've heard, Parx is much nicer though...

Do they have Wi/Fi? How is the food over there?

I am asking because the last time I visited this place is over two decades ago and I do not remember anything about it....

The downstairs portion of the grandstand is much smaller since they added slots and other casino games. There are times where you will get shut out b/c there aren't enough self-service machines to bet at. The food is not good, in my opinion. If you arrive early enough, there are individual TVs available on the first floor....but I can't remember if they have personal betting machines. On a positive note, the program lady will go out of her way to help customers.

If your going there to play the horses go up to the top floor. Lots of room with a lot of self service machines and never a line. Lots of individual tv's and tables are always available because 85% of the attendance is on the first floor. I personally love the Noodle Bar (Located in the same building as the horse room) and there is a Chickies and Petes (Great Bar food) in the other building. Also if you are upstairs they have a menu with the regular shit... Burgers, sandwiches, soups, etc.

Probably a good tip on the upper floor, but I'm surprised someone likes the food!

Yes the taj has a noodle bar but now it's in the hallway across from the old Bombay cafe or across from the Asian restaurant where they filmed rounders....the taj noodle bar is called the rim I believe

Borgata has a good one called noodles of the world and ballys has one and it is slamming/.......Caesars has a very good one...

The old school ones still exist....showboat and trops noodle bar still sit in the Asian gamimg pits and resorts is nasty I was there a few weeks ago....

Revel just added a noodle bar about 3 weeks ago from one of the iron chefs

As a side note the new margaritaville is about as overated as it can get.....it's just resorts as you know it from 15 years ago....

Ac casinos are down to 5 racebooks now....borgata showboat Caesars ballys and harrahs just incase anybody is wondering where u can bet them now

I am guessing you have never had Chickie's and Pete's?

I have. The clubhouse food and snack bar food is not good, imo. Is the C&P even in the racetrack building or the casino? I know the noodle bar is in the racetrack (although it's a little out of the way - are there even TVs in there?) - actually looks decent, so I'm withholding judgment on that.

The 5th floor is only open on the weekends. It's a great view of the racetrack, if you like crappy PA racing. I think they serve food up there, not 100% sure as I've never eaten anything other than a pretzel at Parx. I've only ventured up there a few times since they re-opened the lower floors when most of the slots moved over to the main casino building 3 years ago and I only remember seeing 1 live teller and a few machines.

The 3rd floor hasn't had any simulcasting action for most of 2013. The area they were using for simo is used for extra poker tables for the larger tourneys.

Each of the booths on the first floor has a personal SAM machine. You should be able to open a daily account at the players desk.

They haven't used the table games in the racetrack building for at least a year. About a half dozen dormant craps, roulette, and blackjack tables remain; everything else on the far side of the building has been pulled out. There are still about 50 slots, video poker, and video blackjack machines left on the first floor. I think some video machines are on the 3rd floor in the poker room too.

There are no TVs in the noodle bar that I'm aware of and I have no idea how that place stays open. This is based on the lack of patrons I see on a regular basis.

Chickie's and Pete's is in the main casino building.

Chickie's and Pete's is just another chain restaurant now anyway---prepacked crap---but whatever floats your boat. C and P isn't in the racetrack anyway but in the main casino.

Rise over Run's post gives the best current information about the Parx racetrack itself. Basically, it's an afterthought.
