I know I'm taking a shot here since not many visit Lone Star Park but does anyone know if the filly Four Letter Word survived that heat stroke? She was running in the 3rd race Sunday June 16.
It was a scary ordeal. She finished 3rd, came back and became disoriented, collapsing several times as the crew was icing and watering her down. She did manage to walk into the van. I believe at one point I heard the trackside vet say they (someone from the backside) said she was fine but I'm not for sure. Second time I've seen something like this at LS in the last couple years. Wish they would run Sat/Sun at night like they do on Thurs/Fri.
