He ran into a buzzsaw winner that race, but beat the rest.

Thanks. Knew Billy was leaving, and as speed favoring as the track is, knew he would have gas left in the stretch. Problem was he tried to sit pocket and wait until stretch to pull to try to win. Once the favorite (7 at 6/5) went to the lead, I knew it was over. Billy's only shot there was to fly to the lead and set killer fractions because no horse in that field was going to close.

It wasn't a bad night. A few just missed such as Race 1, at 4-1. I thought he had won and was SHOCKED when they posted him in second behind the odds on favorite. Also, Zeron had a nice drive in Race 10. He probably should have won, but he waited a tad too long to get rolling from the back. There were 2 races that got on my nerves however. Race 5, I originally selected Posey Tina, but then jumped on Bad Feeling, as I figured JJ would get to the lead, and he's so tough to pass in the stretch! Kicked myself numerously because the idiot that I am never even placed a TINY wager at 9-1! Then the very next Race, Pierce waits way too long with Cedar Dove to get going, then flies home for 2nd! I understand he wanted live cover from the favorite (who won), but don't wait until the 1/16th pole to tip off cover. Still feel I had the best horse that race!

Made it up to Mohawk last night from the States. Had a good time and made a profit, something rare for me on the WEG circuit. I hit several exactas, one in Race 2 and the other in Race 8.

I was really surprised about Takter adding trotting hopples on To Dream On. She actually broke during her pre-race warmups plus she had a break last start at VD. Shipps Xpectancy was definitely ready to go, he's a $10,000 claimer going in 1:50.1? That's impressive.

Shipps Expectancy is absolutely in career form. Has been training great, and could easily race in upper NW classes! Can't believe horse hasn't been claimed yet!!
