Some thoughts on tomorrow evenings races at Mohawk.

Race 1- 9 Tag Up And Go

Wide Open race. Taking a shot here. This 3 Year Old Colt was racing well last year as a 2 Year old consistently going 1:58 miles. Qualified here in 1:58 first out and seems to look good and fit. An improvement will be a huge step towards the winners circle.

Race 2- 7 Fierce Desire

Logical favorite. Has the early speed, but seems to be tying up. Wales should be sending off the gate, and hopefully he can slow the pace down in middle fractions. If driven correctly, could be tough to catch in lane.

Race 3- 5 Sharpshot Hall

Major pace threat. This 3 Year Old Colt shipped in to Woodbine and was just caught late in an all out drive. Ouellette isn't the best to have in the bike, but this colt can hold off this field.

Race 4- 3 Dottie Hanover

Excuses for previous poor efforts. Strong horse, but rough gaited. Much faster than this field. Billy recommended a shoe change, so hopefully that will fix her problem. If she stays flat to the 1/4 pole, he won't look back.

Race 5- 3 Meadowview Arty

Won vs higher in Feb. also won last year in 1:54 at Woodbine. Poor posts prior to last start, then showed a much improved effort. Take another step forward and we'll be seeing this one in the winners circle.

Race 6- 3 AllAmerican Extra

2 Fast miles when shipped in from Flamboro. Waples had him in the running at the top of the stretch last out, but faded with 1/16th to go. Should trip out against these.

Race 7- 4 One More Ginny

Always there. Broke 2 back, but not worried here. Can beat this field if and when she stays flat. She likes to win, and for that reason, I think she'll find her way there again.

Race 8- 5 Cabec Jewell Sun

Going against the rough favorite in this low level claimer. Decent miles, especially from post 10 last out. Should like the bigger track. Won in 1:56 at Flamboro last year. Much improved post, and Christiforou gets 2nd drive. Should get rolling a bit sooner here. May be decent price too.

Good Luck guys

Possibly making the drive up there tomorrow. It is one of my favorite tracks to visit. North America Cup is coming up, eliminations start next Saturday. Good luck.
