Quite awhile to go before first post, but this guy is sitting at even money and ya gotta take a stab against him.
Drops to 35 today (his first true claiming race since the 100k at Aqu last Feb) but he is a sinking ship, and I doubt anyone takes him today.

My top runner has been off 11 months though (#5) with a spotty worktab.
His best will sit all over Phil and roll on by.
Maybe the #6 Blind Hope is the one...currently 8-1 odds. Stalker loves Bel but his campaign hasn't gone so well. Took a 90 day break and returned to run a stinker in March, finishing last...now two more months off.

The Jacobson #1a must be considered. Forgotten how to win lately but is on his favorite track with an ideal pace set up. Could come rolling under Cornelio for the hottest barn on the grounds.

Gonna do this:
ex: 1-5 w 1-5-6
win: 5

And that is how you turn value into a losing play :bang:

Why this game is tough. Hated the :4: and still didn't collect. Hope Phantom On Tour took a saver and closed the box.

Yeah, good call to fade Phil. He was very shaky last time on video, but there wasnt much to choose from here.

Just another case to be made for exchange wagering.

I will continue today's losing tutorial by touting the 1-2 in R2...going with the superior turf pedigrees.

#2 Infiltrator followed the Mott pattern of a fading sprint debut effort followed by a freshening and the stretchout on turf. Took a bath as the rein broke, followed along and "rebathed" in his next start :D
Can't give up now - gets the hood today and I say he tries to wire this bunch with the rails at 18ft.
Value is there in the #1 Shortcoming at 8-1. Barn is cold but turf is his surface. Needed his last and will be fitter today...can lay close all the way.

ex: 1-2 w 1-2-3-6
win: 1

Thank you very much - my top 2 choices battle it out through a sub :23 opening quarter and cook each other.

On to Race 3:

The even money chalk #7 got a dream set up last time behind a 5 way war and rolled on home. Stays at this level off the win and I will try to beat him with the other Jacobson #3. Been in bad form but can stalk the speedy #2 and hopefully move on by & hold off the 7.

ex: 3 w 2-4-6-7

Dont love the Creekster here at 6-5, he's back quick and these could be much better than what he faced last time. the PP line looks grand, but everything fell his way in that spot. Not my cup of tea at the price, he's got a shot, but i'm going to bet against here.

Im going to try and do something with the 6, hopefully its a fast pace and this old grey guy can run a few of these down at the end.

That #2 ran a brave race...lacked room inside and battled on through for 2nd

Just to point out the winner of the first race was 5 starts 3 wins at Belmont.

Some horses just like Big Sandy, and he could be one of those.

Phil seemed sound enough in his last effort, but he's just slower now than he was due to age and whatnut. Depends on the class he's entered in, he should be dropping again to be live.
