For sure. Missed this post until now, was unaware of this proposal earlier. As a long time frequent visitor and patron of the Nevada racebooks, this is certainly of interest. Have to wonder though, if any proposed rebates would be offered to all patrons, or to only the biggest bettors, the so called whales?

they had a way of getting around the no rebate law. they were allowing the patron to make house quinella bets based on the amount of parimutuel business that they gave the race book.

for those that might be unfamiliar with casino race books, they don't pay as much as racetracks or adw's for their signal fees. by letting the customer bet on house quinella's they have found a way to circumvent their deals with the race tracks. i would much prefer to bet on house q's than get a rebate any day of the week.

Some casinos have been giving race/sports customers rebates through free slot play too.
I hear this has been disappearing in the past year, though.

The Lakeside at SLT has been doing this, that and free Forms are why my play has been centered there. As of the first week in November of last year, my last visit, this policy was in effect. Sure hope that it has not gone away since then, it was a valuable little perk.
