The 2013 regular season win total under/overs are up in Las Vegas.
The most glaring number? The 8.5 on the Baltimore Ravens.

It should also be pointed out that these numbers are not being posted on some sportsbook website.
This is taken from the official Ravens site.
Roger Goodell has to love that! ;)

Here are the top ten totals:

They lost some key players, they're not the same team. And, their QB has his money now, sometimes when guys get 'paid' there's a dropoff...ya know, dont need to work as hard.

Not a math expert, but wouldn't that make them 0-16?

Last year was a perfect storm for the Ravens with everybody getting healthy at the right time. With all the player they lost, you would not think they could win 9 games, but I have learn not to bet against a sharp coach.

I agree it was a perfect storm for them. Now they are the hunted and everyone wants to beat the defending champions. Flacco got his big payday and they aren't going to sneak up on anyone.

But I'm not sure Pittsburgh is going to be the team to beat in that division. They are getting long in the tooth; I think Cincinnati is the team to watch out for in that division.

I don't think the Ravens really care - they never get the respect and maybe they like it that way....motivation.

Many championship teams struggle the next year, though, and I think the 8.5 is a way of saying that Baltimore will miss the playoffs.
They will be good again, and NO WAY Cincy wins that division next season.

But........ they are still owned by Mike Brown, the NFL answer to LA Clippers owner Donald Sterling.

1-15......lolololololololol they will be a non factor this year....they hit a miracle once every 20 years catch against Denver this won't happen this year

We'll see. Steelers definitely getting long in the tooth defensively, and they've lost some offensive weapons. Cincinnati is still a bit under the radar; their D started last season weak but really came on as the season went on.

valuist, are you still:ThmbDown: on the colts?

looks like mr grigson is quietly using moneyball to strengthen our two biggest weaknesses: o-line and run defense.

The ravens lost the following:

Lewis- going downhill fast- tackles coming 7-8 yeaards dpwnfield, if at all.
Reed- made 0 impact plays all year to the best of my memory
Boldin- cap casuality plus getting long in tooth
Ellerbe- runstopper only- no pass D
Krueger- decnt pass rusher- no run D

IMO-the Ravens will be better than last year, barring key injuries.

there are questions because if you add Bernard pollard to your list that is almost half of their defense gone. they were also a 500 team last year when ray lewis wasn't playing. maybe it was a coincidence? at least they still have ngata who I think is their best player. the other week we basically gave them a player too, aq Shipley, who should at least add some depth to their o-line. a lot of colts fans didn't like the move.

As a bettor I'd be against the Colts this season. Too many close wins, an extremely easy schedule last year and too much fell into place. I do like Andrew Luck, but their D has too many holes and we'll see if Vick Ballard can shoulder a full workload.

Almost every time a team makes a big jump in their win total, like the Colts did last year, they regress the following season.

There's a few teams that fit the angle that they had solid increases in wins last year: besides the Colts, there was the Seahawks and Redskins. The angle is a regression to the mean the following season. This happened to Detroit, and Tampa a couple years ago. The 49ers, however, broke the angle after breaking thru in 2011 and following it up with a SB appearance.

Seattle and Washington have one thing in common: a QB who is a big threat to run. You have to believe NFL d-coordinators have been spending a lot of time this offseason game-planning to stop these guys. I suspect things won't be as easy for RGIII, Wilson and Kapernick this season.

From Proximity---" if you add Bernard pollard to your list"

He was a disruption in the locker room according to to local "insiders"

I have to think John Harbaugh is well aware of the spread and will use that as a motivation tool to his team. His team, not Denver, is the defending Super Bowl champions. They have lost some players. But they get Suggs back. They did add Dumervil. There's no way I'd lay 8 in week one. Its either the Ravens and points, or pass the game.
