Plenty of Henny winner of the first race was claimed after the race, but stewards ordered claim void as of chrb rule #1658...it reads:


· A proposed amendment to CHRB Rule 1658 would void a claim (sale) if a claimed horse suffers a fatality during the running of the race or before it is returned to be unsaddled;

That rule has been expanded to include the following language.

If the claimed horse is deemed by the State Veterinarian to be lame or unsound before leaving the test barn the stewards have the power to void the claim.

That's what happened here.

Plenny of Henny was returned to Bill Spawr.
