View Full Version : Pimlico Jackpot Pick 5 carryover

It paid over 16K today with multiple winners, but no revised carryover mentioned in BRIS Chart. Anyone know what the carryover is after today? It went from 24K to 84K after Friday's card.

Just checked the Equibase carryover watch list. Nothing listed for Pimlico. Ditto on BRIS Handicapper's Edge report.

They must have paid out the entire Pick 5 Jackpot pool today. The question is "why", as this was not a single ticket "pool job" and the meet doesn't end until June 8th?

Special circumstances? I did see on Pimlico's feed where it would be paid out on the finale today.

I have to admit, i wouldnt have ever known this unless i just accidentally heard Rodman announce it. Normally i have all sorts of stuff going on electronically and just got lucky to hear him.

They did smart, they wanted to take advantage of the big day and offer a carryover. They got a huge pool like 800k or something like that.

Tracks should do that all the time with the jackpot carryovers (suits, are you listening?) and they should pay them out periodically instead of waiting forever. I think you'll see in the future, almost all tracks will be offering these jackpot deals and on the last day of the month, they will be paying them out and starting a new on the 1st.

The entire pool was paid out. The payoff was $16.6k...5 winning tickets. The pool was a little over $870k...

hahaha... I cashed it right away. I would never post a picture of a ticket prior to cashing but I am sure some people out there are dumb enough to.
