He should stick with stuff having to do with the space station. He sounds terrible.

I'd give my left nut to be up there.

Then I could hit those high notes. ;)

Hadfield was born in Sarnia, Ontario, in 1959. A mechanical engineer by training, he joined the military and graduated top of his class in 1988, from a US air force test pilot school. In 1991, the US navy voted him test pilot of the year.

What a friggin' curmudgeon!

This what it's all about:

"In the old days, the astronaut corps was almost a silent priesthood. No one knew much about them. And their operations in space were a black box," said Kevin Fong... "We've seen a transition, a breaking down of the barriers, between people who experience space and those who want to experience space vicariously."

Hadfield was the first Astronaut who has held a diametrically opposed view of the handling oneself, ala the secretive and boring Glenns & Gagarins. He was on TV/Twitter/FB/YouTube virtually every day, showing the world that science and fun could be cojoined. He broke down the simple, but alterered, daily functions of eating, reading, floating so that those of us could better understand the world of space stations and the people who inhabited them.

Even dropped a puck for the opening of the NHL Season- post strike! :)

A great Canadian with a dynamic personality!

Agree... I have no problem with this and find it pretty damn cool. In our downtime we watch sports or handicap a card. This guy makes music videos in space.

Hadfield > Any of us.
