Over the last month or so I learned a lot of things off this forum at the cost of nothing.....I've always had the mindset nothing in life is free....I see some golf tourneys on here I see some flat contest on here I wanna add a little something to the equation do I come up with this idea....

I wanna run a baseball pool there are 2 I have I'm mind to see the best baseball handicapper on here one may be luck the other is skill...

The first one would be the 13 run pool which would be fun but it's lots of luck...Everybody picks a team to be fair nobody "knows me from Adam" here so to keep it fair I'll let cj Tom or pace ad do a drawing....after the teams are set the first person whose team scores runs 1-13 wins....of your team scores 5 u get a check for 5 runs etc etc etc...I think this would be fun....

My second one would be to do a handicapping contest consisting of 3 games a nite at a mythical $100 base wager.....using a neutral site for opening lines is post them all at midnite and you would have until noon the next day to get them in....lines would be no vig example

Yankees - 150
Red sox +150 (normally it would be -150 +130..)

And whoever had the best ROI at the all star break would be the winner...

This is what I wanna do....whoever wins this will win a 2 night stay at revel in Atlantic city....don't worry about the bad press this place is beautiful and restaurants are top of any casino.....

If the winner isn't in this area I was thinking if you live in California maybe a 4 seat pacific classic package or travers seats....either way winner will get something nice plus bragging rights....

I believe I can handicap baseball with the best of them so lets get it on....what do u guys think is the best one....if the 13 run pool was chosen that may be a rest of the season pool where the all star break would be done by July//:::let me know what's better!!!

I think one can do well betting racing, or betting baseball. But trying to bet both is very tough. Sports like MLB and the NBA and college basketball require constant attention. If you are focusing on that, its going to hurt you at the track. And vica versa. There's only so much time in the day.

Today's sports betting lesson of the day.....prime time football games the home dog + 1,1.5,2,2.5 have about a hit rate of 75 percent And has rarely let me down....in other words home dog plus 2.5 or less is the best gambling advice anybody could give!!!!!!

Baseball bet every dog after the Allstar break +190 or more sometimes there is no plays for that day sometimes there is 5.....this has returned a profit past 25 years I was told by baseball mike salem....he was stu ungers running mate back in day And took me under his wing after he realized I was serious about making money betting sports.....every game he knew pitchers and umpires it was sick seeing a 75 year old guy be this sharp

I've heard of the MLB angle post All-Star break, but with dogs of +150 of more.

I don't believe the 75% number for NFL. The home dog angle was strong for years (around 60%) but has come down considerably in the past 10 years. You won't find many angles >60% in NFL, unless they have a small sample size.

150 works too......but the home dogs in prime time 2.5 or less is as strong as it gets

I don't think its profitable any more because the Monday night home dog angle got to be too popular and bookmakers eventually adjusted their odds. I've heard Fezzik and RJ Bell talk about this a number of times.

Wiffle-

I like the OVER 7 at Wrigley today. Wind blowing from the S/Southwest so that's straight out. Humidity in upper 60s. Lineups at full strength. The total was initially posted at 6.5 due to the strength of the starters, but Latos isn't a groundballer and some of the fly balls could end up in the bleachers. As for the Reds, they can hit anybody.

Thank you just got it in at 6.5 -120.....anytime I've ever bet 6.5 over its always a 3-1 final.....or if I bet the under it's a 9-0 game!!!

Also just fired on a Colorado over 11 even.....

My guy gives me 5 cent lines so I'm very tempted to bet every dog every game rest of the year the vig really isn't a factor.....to people that aren't sure what that means if you take the Yankees 1.47 the comeback with mets is 1.42...

Don't really like the nba game tonight but I just think the spurs the better team...line went from SA -2 to MIA -1.5

5 cent lines?? Very nice.

Zig zag is all over the Heat. Spurs game 1, Heat game 2, Spurs game 3. The Heat exerted very little energy in that ugly loss. Think they come back a bit more focused tonight.

Damned Reds. 6 hits thru first 3 innings but could only bring 2 in.

That is pretty much true, at least in my case anyway. From the start of the BB season until the fall I concentrate on BB. I do keep an eye on racing and make some bets but BB is pretty much full time. The rest of the year it is racing and racing only. No other sports betting for me.

Yeah book threw me a bone and gave me nickel lines....not really a big deal cuz I'm no threat betting hardball.....I don't get nickel lines in football I get 10 cent lines but still not bad.....

Great call on the cub game today I split on the day....I'm just waiting till preseason football.....that's something people don't realize how good it can be

I know a number of guys who bet preseason football. You have to really dig, but if you are willing to work, you can find out the coaches intentions. That said, I just don't bother with it. I'm too lazy. Heat also came thru big time. Zig zag is perfect in this series. Game 5 I'm on San Antonio.

I'm curious to see how the Reds do today. They've been hitting the ball very well, but they played 14 innings yesterday and come back for a 4 pm late afternoon game today. Probably will pass, but definitely won't be on the over.

I'm watching Ubaldo Jiminez of the Indians. This guy looked great first half of 2010 and started the All Star game for the Rockies. But watching him, his mechanics look bad. Very weird motion. Here's his splits from 2010-2012 broken down from before All Star break and after All Star break:

before AS break: 27-16 record, 3.51 ERA
after AS break: 11-22 record 5.15 ERA

Don't need advanced stats to see he clearly wears down as season goes on. There had to be legitimate reasons why the Rockies, in hitter friendly Coors Field, would unload him. He's at 110 pitches thru 5 innings. He looks like a go-against the rest of the season.

Look for the Brewers to be an "over" team the rest of the way. Bullpen has done surprisingly well, tying for 4th best bullpen ERA in MLB. But their pen also has thrown the 4th most innings, due to the poor performance of the starters. At some point, their relievers will wear down.

I agree many overs are the play with the brew crew

And the marlins and astros will be great plays after the all star break...young kids playing hearts out

When you gonna get in this football pool and jump in on the early lines?!??,

Week 1 lines wont change though I know Cleveland will go to 2 at the least....can't wait till I don't have to look at baseball lines anymore....at this point I just watch dots on the phone to see whose on....but I get a better rush out of that then watching on tv.....true story lololo
