Which is more important,
Political correctness or Public Safety?

We have a dangerous rapist on the loose locally, one who broke into a home and raped the occupant.

Police issued a detailed description of the suspect, which was picked up by local TV radio and newspapers, and eve a Buffalo TV station.

One local TV station and the local newspaper edited the description.
They removed the line "....African-American" Other than that, the descriptions were word for word the same.

Is PC so important that we now withhold key descriptions of violent felons?
This is unacceptable BS.

Gotta tell the public what he looks like in order to catch him. Dark skin, light skin, white, black, hispanic, asian, indian, etc. I learned as a teen from the security staff how important it was to tell them if the suspect was white or black. Just basic identifying stuff. Red shirt, white shirt, blue shirt. Accurate description is important. Identifying race isn't implying things about everyone in the race - others may do that on their own, good or hateful. But the person needs to be caught. Give a good description. Lots of men about 5' 7" tall. Be more specific if you want to help.
