this former president's picture is on the $1000 bill. you could have bought as many of those notes as you wanted about 25 years ago for $1050 a piece. i have 1 of them and they will fetch you about $7000 each today. if you were really smart you could have invested in President Woodrow Wilson, his picture is on the $100,000 note. there were only 114 of them ever printed i am told, and that fine piece of paper would have brought you $1.5 million today.
one of the best things to collect would have been Topps or Bowman Rookie cards. about 20 years ago you could have bought them for about $1000 each. today they are bringing $50,000 and up.
