I wish you would publicly admit that EVERY TEAM had to handicap the same EXACT races last week. The way you carry on, one would get the impressions some sort of impropriety took place.

Every team received the same schedule of races to work with.

Just like today...and guess what...today, with what is a "better" card, not all teams are doing well. Some are doing better than others, just like last week.

Getting so tired reading and responding to this stuff.

I will go so far as to say that this week, the results are shaping up to be like last week, where one team dominates the rest.

If that pans out, can we say the card sucked?

It's obviously a crappy card...handcrafted for dylbert...and one other team...

Today's card has six graded races with top flight horses, trainers, and jockeys. I couldn't name a single trainer or jockey from Hawthorne.

Chalk eaters probably having trouble. I liked chalk in Race 8 and like chalk again in upcoming Race 9. Last two events have mix of odds-on horses and possible big balloon ones. Should make for exciting finish for Day One.

I was typing previous post prior to reading this latest 'grenade'.

Guess Jill Byrne doesn't know horses either. She just touted same 3 as I did! Limey Mark Johnson picked same top 2. Ship him back to UK...

mike, i think the goldrunners would have made a statement if we were in cause if you look at my thread for the oaks, i nailed a triple and nailed the oaks and had multiple winners and with dylbert's and gremlins picks it would of been a fantastic day
good luck in the finals mike

good luck todayWay to go! Wish I'd liked Princess too.

I saw Java's War win Sunday Silence on Super Derby undercard at Louisiana Downs last September. Kenny McPeek is among best trainers at moving horses from surface to surface. His late Birdbirdistheword won LaD grass race then took Delta Jackpot in 2006.

My cold super is 8-6-12-19. I will add Orb for exacta box. Best of luck today!

Day 2 of unofficial PAIHL finals!

First, kudos to Squatheads for excellent job yesterday. Also, congrats to one of Gold Runners 'brothers', joeyp, who crushed the Oaks card. If Java's War takes Derby, he will need wheelbarrow and assistance toting his plentiful bounty!

I am sure real PAIHL players were thrilled that first Event is Race 2? That's breakfast time for any Left Coast punters. Geez! Best news is no Illinois-bred races in today's slate. I expected AP 8 & 11 would have been key races this afternoon (yes, these are Illy bred races from Arlington Park card)

(1) Race 2: 8-1-2 (6-3)

(2) Race 5: 8-3-4 (10-2)

(3) Race 6: 1-2-7 (3-6)

(4) Race 7: 6-2-4 (1-8)

(5) Race 8: 4-5-3 (7-2)

(6) Race 9: 9-2-5 (7-8)

(7) Race 10: 3-5-8 (9-6)

(8) Race 11: 8-6-19 (12-16)

Good luck to all today!

No Illinois-bred races but a couple DO run at CD today that are mighty tough runners. Hope you boned up on our stock last week!

You really discredit all the hard work put into running the P.A.I.H.L. -- I'm sorry that you feel the continuous need to belittle the contest at every turn.

Enjoy your day.

Hope he did well today...no constant updates like yesterday though...

He still hasn't responded to the fact that, even with a "higher quality card" yesterday, once again, ONE TEAM CRUSHED all others...and a majority of the teams didn't have a positive ROI...

Guess his theory on last week's "less than stellar card" takes a hit when viewed from that angle...maybe that's why he ignored my post.

Geez and to think all those years I played PAIHL just to get chickenhead's emails and then after Tom automatically got Tampa and Gary automatically got California and I automatically took the worst of the remaining races, we had to exchange five or ten more mails declaring how little we cared which of the remaining races each of us took.

I guess it just ain't enough to have a little fun and do a little roasting on the board at the same time.

Just returned home. Didn't have quality access today. Weather was probably big wild card for all teams today. Some horses handled sloppy or yielding surface better than others did.

Will do tally later. Big 'ups' to Squatheads! Always tough competitors.

Had family obligations early today. First race I saw was Race 7. Day 2 tallied $321.10. Two-day total reached $1,382.10.

Again, way to go Squatheads!

Got post race lesson about how Cajun fellow's mom caught Derby exacta. She asked, "who are Cajun boys riding today?" Her son hold her Boo Boo is riding #3 & Robby is riding #4. She tells him here's $20 to bet for her. He explains that he will buy her an $3 exacta box with favorite #16 Orb along with her #3 & #4. and you know rest of the story... She won $1,472.40! His mom was still beaming 30 minutes after race concluded.

Alright your post will evoke my response. Over 151,000 people attended today's 139th Kentucky Derby. Yes, it is part tradition, part party, part spectacle. The card had six graded stakes which included three Grade 1 races. By most horseplayers definition, this was "higher quality card" than one played last Saturday.

In no way did I seek to belittle contest or fine effort that you, Chris, and Mike make conducting events. My 'stab' at Illinois-bred races was blatant tongue-in-cheek gag. Does anyone celebrate state bred races? The three mandatory Louisiana-bred races on every FG, DeD, Evg, and LaD card are first ones tossed by me and many others. Would Pepper's Pride phenomenum have occurred without New Mexico-bred races? Hell, no.

The card had six graded stakes which included three Grade 1 races. By most horseplayers definition, this was "higher quality card" than one played last Saturday.First of all, I'm talking about the Oaks card, not the Derby card, but that's besides the point.

Secondly, it's pretty obvious it was a higher quality card. No debate necessary...if you're not in a coma, you know it's a higher quality card.

The point I'm making is, the RESULT was basically the same. ONE TEAM dominating all the rest.

So it makes all your whining about how the LOW QUALITY CARD caused one team (mine) to have some unfair advantage because we crushed everyone else, seem rather silly when the same exact thing happened with a HIGHER QUALITY CARD.

It's pretty simple what I'm saying...wouldn't you agree?

You claim that the low quality card was UNFAIR (and you claimed that MANY times). You claimed we should have THROWN out the results of that card, it was SO UNFAIR. And you cite as evidence the fact that my team was the only team that did well...

So here we have Oaks day, with the much better card, and again, only one team does well...crushing all the others...

Why are we even continuing to debate this nonsense?

I know why...because I can't help myself...that's why...you keep sucking me back into the debate, and I can't help myself... :bang:
