If anyone has the credentals to win the Derby, presented by Yum Brands, it's Orb :16: . To me, he appears to be the key to the exotic wagers. In such a large field I am going 7 deep for the tri and super. I will more than likely key him to win it with 4,5,8,13,15,17,19 :)

There's a prediction of rain for the Derby. If the track turns out muddy, there may be value in keying :13: Falling Sky 50-1 or :19: Java's War 15-1 to win it. I don't like playing the favorite to win the Derby so this may be the right angle if there's rain. :D

7 deep? what's that going to cost? I 'm not a fan of :16: Orb. But to each his own. You don't have :12: Itsmyluckyday in your super. Throw out his last. He can smoke these.

Keying a horse in one of the 4 super positions with 7 others is 210 combinations. too bad the minimum super wager is one dollar making the cost of the ticket $210. alternatively a $1 tri would cost $42. if you are a very good handicapper a 4 box is $24 the same as a key with 4 for a super wager. I'm going strictly by pedigree for this event.
