Was at ac racecourse today and heard a few reports of people leaving vouchers in machine there's nothing better then finding a voucher in machine(I haven't in over 5 years) but its even worse losing one....

We were all 17 one night going to the meadowland on a Friday night and my friends weren't familiar with the machines now my friend father has a owner box at the M so we were up there but milling around downstairs.....I remember like it was 9 days ago when it was really 14 years ago I'm watching a penn national race and my friend says check this out.....it was a voucher for $535.....we were all speechless at this time:...we were umping games for a $20 bill at the time...friend threw us all $30 never been so happy....

Another time I was 19 in dining room at freehold for simulcast and see a guy counting a wad of cash and a $100 falls out....I'm to scared to make a move and tell my dads friend and he scooped it and threw me $15 I
Said $15?!?!? He said heres another 5 shut the f*** up!!!

If anybody remembers the horse knockadoon he was a pretty good flat years back me and my friend were very young went to otb in staten island with friends dad I remember I bet $5 to win on horse and dropped the ticket....at that moment on I promised myself if I ever find one I not in a million years give it back to anybody....

Ive noticed when I do find them or friends that find them the best time to find them is when the voucher gets spit out with other tix...

10 years ago were downstairs at the M(arguably the lowest of the low at any racetrack) and the 2 is breaking behind the gate at 1/2 and the inquiry went up during race they ruled 2 a non starter we found some nice key tickets with the 2 in various spots....

Would love to hear some war stories on these....and if u
Don't wanna say it was u tell us it was somebody you know....

I wish death on the scum hawks that's circle machines and wait for people to leave things in there....they should be flung outta the joint

Down big time. I found a voucher once saw the guy who was at the machine and ran him down, he knew exactly how much it was for so i gave it too him. Once at Pimlico, when they first got the machines, they'd have this slight delay if you punched multiple tickets and i thought i got my voucher, but it was my last exacta ticket. Needless to say someone got over 400 bucks.

Ouch.....normally as a rule I try not to keep a voucher over $80 cuz nothing good can come out of it.....

As far as finding them now I wouldn't feel guilty I consider everybody a threat there if I lose a voucher....154/153 wouldn't turn it in...and yes I meant 154 out of 153!!!!!

Way down. In 1986 I left a $240 voucher in a machine, the only thing I've ever found was three or four vouchers with $0.10 on them.

Sorry, but I try to give the money or voucher back. You can always tell who lost it. They have that sick, desperate look on their face. If somebody drops a bill, I'll always tell them. Sometimes they'll drop me a 20, sometimes not. I know the feeling I get when I lose some money. I have got it returned once in a while but not very often.

I always recognize a honest teller by when they go to pay you they hand you the change first then the cash......the tellers think I'm a rookie and when they get cute I expose them

About 15 years ago I was at the Meadows outside Pittsburgh. A group of us were enjoying the trotters while having in dinner in their restaurant. I was the only one playing simulcasts at the table. Because of longish lines upstairs I was going downstairs to Voucher machines when necessary. This downstairs area was a large room with no tellers. Usually nobody was in the room when I went down there to bet. Anyway, I found a Voucher worth $340 in a machine. So I waited about 10 minutes for somebody to show up and claim the ticket. Nobody did. So I kept it and bought dinner for everybody in our group.

I thought about turning it in but that felt like handing an employee $340. In all honesty, I didn't feel like jumping up and down about the whole thing. But that's what happened.

P.S. No way I'd keep the cash if I saw somebody drop it, WW. I like to sleep at night.

I gotta be honest with you tvg its a cut throat crowd at these tracks....I often say to myself when I find them would that person give it back to me and the answer is no......

Only way I consider is if I see an old lady drop money or leave a ticket in the machine then I say something....

My thinking is if somebody is using a machine chances are they would keep it if they found it.....

Early today I was running good at ac racecourse they have acient tv there I got 789/234789,11 shopping for a bomb exacta I think it's 11/9 I junk ticket turns out it was 8/9.....dug through garbage can for 10 minutes for a $17 bill hahahaha couldn't find it

Was at Freehold 2 years ago and walked up to a machine and found a voucher for $107. No one was near the machine, so I kept it. I never lost any cash or vouchers or tickets at a track and always make sure to get my voucher back.

But the machines there are very worn out, and you have to either press very hard or very lightly on the touch screen to get the selections correct. Once, I ended up with an incorrect ticket right at post time (no time to cancel/change it) on an exacta at Sam Houston. Having the wrong ticket, I watched the race in amazement as a bomb won the race and I hit my exacta for about $425.

I get a kick outta some stoopers (for those who don't know, it's a person who constantly stoops over to pick up tickets on the floor) that I've seen at tracks as they check every table and garbage can and underneath people for canceled/scratched tickets. One guy claimed he 'earned' about $125/night stooping. But I hate when they hog the machines checking hundreds of tickets.

I'm about even. I've left a couple of small vouchers, and found a couple of small ones that I could'nt return to the owner - all for under $50.

Turned in a $574 voucher in at Turfway to security once back in '96 - couldn't believe the guy didn't come back to the machine to look for it. I suppose the security guys cashed that one out. Found another one for about $74 a couple of weeks earlier at TP, wrote down the last wager made, then returned it to the guy who came back looking for it when he knew the amount and had the last (losing) ticket punched out. Got a free beer for that.... :)

Used to hate the "swoopers" at Keeneland. Something to be said for online wagering....

Finding money and a voucher is 2 different things....what's different I don't know but would def be careful with Money on floor

Derby day the year super saver wins I lose 500 in race then me and my gf leave my house to go to Foxwoods.....stuck 400 playing cards and absolutely furious.....well in between 4 poker tables is $104 on the floor....people are walking by it nobody grabs it....finally I say f*** this and I grab $101 and leave the other 2 there and bring it to security lost and found....rule there is after 90 days nobody claims it it's yours....I left the 2 there cuz if somebody says they lost x amount and there is a difference they won't get it...so after 90 days I go to lost And found and this old security guard giving me a speech why I shouldn't be getting it....we get into it and finally he forks it over and he was pissed.....

Later that night was telling my gf friend about this whose father is security supervisor at Mohegan sun and was telling him how this guard was telling me getting a 100 is no big deal ive handed over 5000s before(that's bs impossible to cash 5k chip if u can't explain how u got it) and come to find out these guards at security whenever somebody found sometimg that was semi valuable the guards call a friend tell them to claim so and so and they get it....swear to god people are such filth

It's just bad karma man. To keep money when you know who lost it is just wrong imo. Real gamblers don't want to win that way. I will say I have dropped quite a few chips on the floor in Vegas and almost always get it returned.

Wow, what timing. I just got a call from my friend and he just got a call from the racino in saratoga, towards the end of last year he left his voucher in a machine for not more than 30 seconds and it was gone, it was right by the tellers so they called the tote guys to put a hold on it, it took just a couple of minutes to trace it from his old tickets and it was cashed in that brief amount of time, they've got cameras everywhere so they had video of the guy who stole it. Security called my friend tonight and told him that the guy returned tonight and that they had caught him and he'd given them the money he took that night after being shown the tapes, they also informed my friend that they will press charges of petit larceny. They're very serious about vouchers both for racing and casino and have cameras everywhere, and tickets are easy to trace with the technology. I myself have never found more than 25 cents, but have lost a few, one about $90 at the flat track, I think i tossed it into the garbage so it probably ended up going to the state.

Yes swoopers and stoopers always come out of the woodwork when there is a late scratch or refunds of some type......best thing at track is having a tiny Tim or machine where u sit that way anytime there is a refund u see it if there a dq and you don't notice it it goes in etc etc etc....tellers beating u outta change...no down side to have a tiny Tim

I've seen many vouchers lost over the years, but since the racino went into operation and cameras went up everywhere, if you know about when and where you lost it, or have tickets bet before it, they can trace it and put a hold on it and 9 out of 10 times they can tell you the exact movement of the person that has it or cashed it if the hold wasnt in time. If someone finds a voucher and adds it to theirs they will freeze that voucher too.

In a crowded place very hard to prove its actually stolen....if they forget to take voucher out of machine and the person gets voucher mixed in Witt his tix very hard to prove larceny in that case....unless the ticket is still in machine and finish button not hit that's the only thing maybe they put a block on it or have a players id on it then it's different

Found one worth $240. Was at Saratoga. Naturally it's crowded I caught a glimpse of the owner taking the corner to head back presumably to the seats. I went after him to give it back. Yes, karma was on my mind. Anyway, he disappeared into the crowd. His loss.
At Meadowlands...I guess I was about 20 or so. I was there solo. As I am walking I see this guy in front of me drop a Fifty. I scoop it up, tap the guy on the shoulder and tell him, look it's bad enough to lose these through the windows. You shouldn't throw them on the floor. The guy thanked me profusely and handed me a ten and a five folded together. Took it and walked off.
I lost a voucher worth about $70. Left it in the machine. Went to the tote supervisor. He asks which window was I using. For some stupid reason I always make note of the number above the window. He asks the value of the voucher and approx when I had made my wagers. Showed him my tix...He says to walk with him. He goes in the machine and punches in some codes( I guess) and tells me the bad news. He could have canceled the voucher and issued a new one, but whomever had it cashed it about 2 mins earlier. He showed me the print out of the record...DAMN!!!!
I ended up making a very nice profit that day, so the 70 dollar hit didn't feel so bad. I made it up five fold....
And the "thank God I bet the wrong horse" cash...
I go to OTB on Belmont Day. May have been the True North H'Cap..I don't know...It was a stakes race. I meant to bet another entrant but when I got home, I noticed the ticket had the "I" to win....Yes back then, NY OTB used letters instead of numbers. And there was no audio or video at OTB..The horse turned out be Cannon Shell. He won by a comfy margin and with a ten spot on him, I was feeling STUPID lucky. If memory serves the win price was in the low $20's

No its not hard at all if you have $120 voucher and put it into the machine and bet $20 win, and leave the $100 in the machine and walk away with just the win ticket, they can trace the $100 to the $120 you had by way of the win ticket and cameras with time stamps and such, happens all the time at the racino here, leaving a voucher is no different than leaving your phone, if you left your phone somewhere and someone finds it and just takes it, that theft, normally security will just ask the person for the money back but if they dont just give it up, the call the local pd and/or ban them

I always know to the dime how much I am supposed to collect. Back in the days of no or very few machines, I used the tellers. I read in a book about wagering and such that the best thing to do is stand calmly at the window and wait until the teller has given the entire amount. The change scooper you encountered was NOT a rarity. A lot of them did that. I had a few try that on me. Not once did I fall for it. Told one guy, How badly do you need the 60 cents. He looked at me like I just broke his crayons.
Yep.
Then on here some time ago there was a thread about 'signers' and whether or not to tip the teller.
I mention this because some tellers look at you like you owe them something if you cash more than a C- note.

I avoid the jerks and bums. The ten percenters. stoopers, garbage pickers and my all time favorite, vultures. Some call them hawkers. These jack wagons hang out near the windows to see if they can hear what others are betting through a teller or if at a machine, will look over your shoulder to see what you are betting.

If you have other tickets and such to prove that it's yours or the voucher you bet it off of yes, it's a long process and they have to wait like 30 days to pay you but I had that happen at Saratoga. I bet a 50 cent pick 4 that was like $40 total and didn't get a ticket at all because of a malfunction, but I had the numbers I bet written down, how much my voucher was, and what machine i bet it on, I talked to a teller and he got his supervisor, and it took about 10 minutes for tote guys to get a print out of the machines activity, they located the exact bet, the first leg ran before they had all the info, so they couldnt cancel it and reissue me a physical ticket, so they had to keep the betting records and took my information down, it was all for nothing because I lost the first leg, I think I had 6 of 8 in the first leg lol

If there are some tellers on this forum then I'm sorry but I gotta admit some tellers are the pure bottom of the barrel.....another breed that's getting bad is security at these otbs in Woodbridge...asking to put plays in for them and borrow money.....I'd lay 2/1 somebody on this forum knows exactly the guard im talking about....

I always give found vouchers to a teller that I trust or to a mutuel manager - assuming it's more than a few bucks.

Needless to say, I'm down by default as I've walked away from a few decent ones hung up in the machine over time.

I worked as a mutuels clerk when I was going to college when they had two sets of windows, one to bet, one to cash. I worked mostly the 5/5 combo ($5 win/place). When I first started working, the guy beside me explained to me how I could get 'drops'. "When they give you a twenty, slowly move your hand to the box and look at their eyes. That'll tell you if they are expecting change. If they say anything just act like you thought they gave you a ten." I still see the tellers pulling that move today.

Hahahaha they got every move under the sun

I once got one at Monmouth Park in the Clubhouse off-season. About $400. There were phone booths near the elevators there, and I waited in one for a about 10 minutes. Nobody came by, so I kept it. I'm up (I think)

I can picture the scene it's 1 of 2.....in picturing outside the Salvatore grill right by the door that leads to the entrance of the dining room.....there is a 50 window there with the same teller for last 40 years I bet....all signers go to him 1000000 percent

One time outside at Belmont near the old Carvel stand I cashed a ticket for something like $97.80. I gave him the ticket and $2.20 in cash so that he would owe me exactly $100. He went ballistic. So much for trying to make his job a bit easier and to streamline my bankroll. Apparently I had deprived him of the opportunity to keep my change. Why else would he behave that way?

Yep...Oneof the first times I used the machines at Belmont, the first clerk looked at me like he was expecting a tip for cashing my voucher...
His tip was "thanks!"...
Had another one at Meadowlands actually TELL me, "ya know they usually tip us"...I whipped out one of my Dad's classics.."who is THEY?"

I guess we can include rotten tellers that have every move in the book trying to beat the innocent costumer out of money.....my favorite are when u cash
For say $76.80 they give u the 76 and slow roll the .80 hoping u walk away or just embarrassed to ask for it....

Last year at meadowlands was hanging downstairs with the armpit of east coast and hit a race for 109.90......I cash at window and guy jerks me for the .90....I was steaming but bit my tongue 20 min later cash for 10.80 guy gives me 10 and change was nowhere in scenario that's when I exploded I start screaming"everytime fing time you c-sers try and rip Everybody for there change you guys would steal from your own mother" as I'm yelling mutuals manager comes over and I tell him what happened and he said well look into it......bottom Line went there next week mutual manager ran into me in the big m club stand and told me they investigated the teller not only would he do that but he wouldn't hit clear button before rookies cashed ticket and would pocket the shortage.......also arrested him just not sure what charges were

I always recognize a honest teller by when they go to pay you they hand you the change first then the cash......the tellers think I'm a rookie and when they get cute I expose them

You're complaining about dishonest tellers and when you see someone drop money on the floor ,you or a friend scoop it up and keep it ! Jeeesh !!!

One rainy afternoon at saratoga i was walking down to the rail after the.clouds finally left. I was looking down to avoid stepping in any deep puddles, when I spotted a $40 voucher laying at the edge of puddle like a beached whale. I carefully peeled it up and brought it up to the windows and yes they cashed it. I have also found $10 and $20 vouchers many times there near the Nathan's hot dog area by the finish line. I was at a dorm once waiting outside with 20 people stNding around when I happened to notice a $50 right next to my toes. I carefully just lifted my foot and put it down on the bill, then waited a minute, then carefully pulled the fake shoe tie. Overall I am deffinetly up on found money because I only lose money when I make a bet, I never lose money out of my pocket. Once I almost left a hundred dollar voucher in a machine but a minute after I walked away I realized it and got back to get it and like magic it was printed out and sitting on the table.

I would probably say about even with vouchers. I use an account card at tracks where available.

One time a few years back on Derby day at Arlington, and CD had tote problems, I notice the guy next to me slip a $1,000 voucher into the machine the SECOND they locked and restarted the machines, eating and tearing the ticket. Boy was he livid!!

Be careful with a voucher that has a player's card number. I use my card in Vegas but seldom at the tracks that take them. However, I always use the cards in the casinos. Two years ago I left a $115 voucher in a slot maching at Hollywood Casino. Security pounced on the lady that was playing the machine I had been on. She denied using my voucher, but they ran some reports then led her off. They told me she was going to jail and would be charged with theft. They sent me to teller to collect $115.

I agree it is bad karma.

UP.
As a snotty nosed rag tag muffin at the track, when tickets were printed on a type of heavy paper cardboard, I was a stooper.
I picked up hundreds.
In those days, I occasionally found a $2 or $10 ticket with a winner that was worth something. My Dad or much older brothers gave me part of the action.

As an adult, I have never left, to my knowledge, a losing ticket in an ATM
and I alway check my uncashed ones and any laying near a machine.

Like someone already said.....WOW!

It is never the wrong time to do the right thing.

While I believe it should never be our motive for doing the right thing, it does seem like somehow we receive a unexpected benefit somewhere down the line when we do the right thing. It is just one of those "mysteries" of life.

As to the original thread question, I would guess that lifetime I am slightly up (no more than $25) when it comes to losing/finding vouchers.

The guy had no idea he had left the money in the machine. I can tell he was lucky to get it back. There are definitely quite a few people at Ellis Park that would have cashed in the ticket then hit the door. I'm not sure how it is at other tracks or otb's but at Ellis if they cash the tickect before you can get a hold on it your sol. Surely there has to be a time stamp on exactly when the ticket was cashed and they can match that to camera footage.

I'll have to check and see what the video capacity is at Ellis Park since part of there simulcasting is right next to the instant racing machines. I lost just under $90 dollars about 4 months back on a Wednesday at Ellis. I left it in the machine off course. It took me a minute before I realized I had done it. I contacted tote and told them exactly what happened. They asked me which SAM machine it was and any bets I had made prior to leaving the machine. I told them the exact bets I had made and had the losing tickets to prove it. It took them about 5 or 6 minutes and then they got back with me. They had the report for the SAM machine in hand showing my 2 bets then a bet made with my voucher then a voucher for the remaing balance was printed. They hit that bet and cashed it along with my voucher for $115. Basically I was told that since they had cashed it I was out of luck. I wish now that I had persued it more than I did.

Kind of a funny somewhat related story. Years ago, I was at the Raynham Taunton Dog Track playing some simulcast on the ponies when a guy next to me mentioned that he had a "hot tip" from one of the Greyhound Trainers when the Greys were still running there that the #2 who was going off at fairly big odds for a pup (something like 20 to 1) was going to run a big race. The guy played like $100 to Win and $80 dollars to place on this dog. From where me and this fellow were standing (well to the rear of the finish line) it looked like the #2 gave way late and maybe got third getting nosed at the wire. Well, of course the guy looked very disappointed, however, he failed to check the actual results at the conclusion of the race. The #2 dog did hold on for place and paid out pretty decent. I saw that guy moments later near the restaurant and told him congratulations. He said, "for what"?

I said you hit on that previous race with the #2, he held on for 2nd. WOW!! You should have seen him scrambling about the place searching for the ticket that he had apparently discarded on the floor somewhere near the table where he was sitting.. :)

I respectfully disagree.....doing the right thing doesn't always benifit u in the right way......I'd like to share a story with the board how doing the "right thing" cost me 12000 and 4 years of my life....

I was walking out of work one night and a fellow co worker needed a ride home and asked me if I was going "that way" I wasn't but I didn't want him being stranded so I said I'll take u no big deal....

Well were driving back to his place which was about 20 min away and the whole ride he was telling me about how this book he bets with is the best of all time with the Internet they took Money lines 2nd half plays horses and even horse matchups........I was interested

So I get hooked up with this book and start blasting and whacking these horse matchups....the horse Matchups were so off it was scary (one example Abd this was minor was street sense was a -320 favorite over curlin....)

So I was betting about 25 of these a day and rolling and sneeking in some baseball plays......well 2 months later I was betting with a organization that was being watches by the state police.....9:30 one morning got a knock on my door and it was about 7 cops telling me I'm being arrested for illegal gambling...I was stunned....I was betting not booking....all they saw was me putting in about 150 of these horse bets in a week.....I had to explain to 6 investigators how I was betting these matchups cuz they were easy pickings.....after they finished with the investigation they realized I wasn't booking and was just betting...

Had to pay for a lawyer and get a new job out of state for 4 years and meet this psyco woman.........

From now on whoever asks me for a ride I tell them "I'm not going that way"

Doing the right thing really worked out well for me that day Hahahahahahaha

Nothing worse than rude tellers. You should not feel obligated to tip the teller on a nice score tax ticket or not. Your already dealing with takeout and breakage. We are the ones who put in all the time and effort into handicapping and constructing or wagers. You could hit a nice score and still be down for the day.

I would have ratted the bitch out. I would have looked her dead in the eye and said "Get your supervisor over here please".
Then told him or her the story. If that track has an ounce of integrity toward their customers, that teller should have at least been written up. If it were me, I would have fired her on the spot. There are simply too many good people sitting at home wanting a job that there is no way in hell anyone should have to put up with crummy attitudes.
Tip jars.....Bar only will I put anything in one of those. I have seen them in fast food joints, donut shops even convenience stores.
The way I see it, gratuities are earned. Punching buttons on a cash register that even figures out the change for the dummy that has to count to ten on their fingers, does NOT merit a tip.
$80 is a lot of money. I would have been most grateful.

I bet on a voucher the entire day. At the end of the day I reconcile my voucher. I am not tipping a clerk just because the voucher may say $500 on it, Hell I may be up just $100 on the day.
Mutuel clerks make plenty of money. Especially unionized tellers in the Northeast. I won't tip the cashier at Dunkin Donuts. Why the hell should I tip the mutuel teller?
And if someone brings up dealers at casinos, I tell them most dealers make minimum wage and depend on tips to make a living. And the dealers do much more work than a teller.

Try and do this myself anymore as the same gesture happened to me once out at Keeneland during the simulcast season.

Hawking doubles on one old tv as I see the screen on with $38 on it waiting to be claimed..:..I got a nj casino license so I don't wanna risk anything so I just stood 10 feet away to see how somebody was gonn swoop in for the kill....

10 minutes go by some guy in his 50s sees it and I can tell he is panicking....he try's being cute adding losing tix to this machine then he hits finish and grabs the voucher.....

This is where it gets funny.....he takes the ticket and goes and hides by the corner table that is blocked from sight by a post in the wall....

10 min later he takes this ticket to one of the main machines and I see out of corner of my eye that it says $38....I see him make 7 $4 win bets on a horse that's 30/1 at northfield then a $10 play on a different horses...

5 min later I see him pumping tix into machine with the cancel screen up....he though he was sharp about washing it.....then he added a $5 voucher and went to the window to cash it....

It was just funny to watch a guy trying to maneuver to cash in a $38 bill....took him a half hour of angling to get it...im just shocked nobody realized they lost 38 at that place

I almost made a comment to him saying if he saw my $38 voucher and see what he would have said!!!

The best part was seeing the guy hiding in the corner waiting to see if things "blew over" when the coast was clear he sprung into action

And to clarify the story I saw the 38 sitting with a lit up screen when he got it the machine spit out thd voucher and when the guy saw a ticket in the holster I guess it automatically spits it out after a minute....sooooo funny

I was having a bad day at the OTB today, finding myself down about a thousand. I went to the machine to make a bet...and I saw a $7 voucher sticking out of it. Not knowing what else to do with it, I added the $7 to my own voucher...after I gave a look around and didn't see anyone acting as if they had left any money at the machine.

Two more hours pass, and I am behind five hundred more. As I gather my belongings and get ready to leave, I feel a tap on my shoulder as I am seating at the table. I turn around, and I see the OTB's manager...accompanied by an angry-looking older guy. The manager tells me that the old guy next to him reported a lost $7 voucher...and that their surveillance cameras had revealed that I was the one who had taken it.

I apologized profusely to the old guy, and handed him a $10 bill...telling him to keep the change, to make up for the aggravation that I had caused him.

And I headed for the door dejected...with the old man giving me dirty looks every step of the way.

Some days it doesn't pay to get out of bed...

Why did it take hours for the guy to figure out he was 7 bucks light? Who knows....
It's gotten to the point where people's irresponsible nature( forgetfulness, losing or dropping things) is everyone else's fault.

I would have been like, "hey dummy, here's your 7 bucks. If it weren't for people like you. there would be no need for stress. Next time, take care of your business."....
The sad part is, had you handed the voucher to a teller, most likely the guy would still be short the 7 bucks.

Ok and yet another story to sharee with the PA faithful here...

Friend at work been bothering me to play him in tennis cus I've been shooting my mouth off lately about playing sports....he wanted to play tennis before at 6:15am I said ok so I was up at 4:30am waiting to play and was bored so off I went to harrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrahs in ac......and here's what took place

Poker room is dead and mini Bac was sitting dead sO off I go to never never land and play video poker....as in walking to the video poker machine I see the screen active with 330 .50 credits I say ****me that's the freest 165 I'll ever see and what do I do I just keep friggin walking......can't risk losing casino license in event that they say I stole....

The 165 doesn't bother me cus it wasn't mine anyway but the fact that some stiffbox ac bum/riff raff will get there hands on just eats me alive so what do I do......I walk back hit the print button and walk it right over to the security guard just so some other Scummer doesn't get it....made me feel better hopefully whoever left it will redeem it

So of course "karma" which I hate the word cus it's all BS karma pays me back for by good deeds by sending me home -227......crap table just me I bet 40 don't pass I throw a 4....lay 200 and buy a $20 hard 4.....I catch a couple numbers then I throw the fatal 3-1 combo and home I went!!!! Had to walk around 30 vacuums and tile washers on the way out.....great times

Oh?....I used to have a friend who worked security at Meadowlands back when if the attendance on a typical Sat night was under 20k, it's because it was raining.
He told me that the amount of cash they found just laying on the floor was "absurd". His words.
I have scooped up 10's 20's and once a fifty. Just laying there in front of passers by who were oblivious to the bounty at their feet.
One time a guy hurriedly walking in front of me toward the windows dropped a fifty. I scooped it, tapped him on the shoulder and handed it back to him. He gave me a ten as a token of appreciation.

Was at the taj mahal in ac the other day and the shut the Racebook down cus it wasn't profitable....

Then there was a sign saying we will be discontinuing simulcast facility anybody who has uncashed tickets please bring them to
The shift manager....or something along those lines...

My question is how does the casino cash that ticket...I don't think they have a mutual machine away from the Racebook....how do they cash this

They can take the ticket to another racebook with same tote, used to be after the end of the Saratoga Flats meet for a short period of time you could cash flats tickets at the harness track at a certain window when they both were autotote, Im not sure if there the same tote now though

Two weeks ago at Belmont a guy in front of me left his ticket at the window, there was 1 minute to post and I was trying to get the guys attention the teller gave me the ticket and as he did the bell went off so I got shut out trying to do a good deed! I handed the guy his ticket and told him I didn't get my bet in, he said yes you did and told me to hold onto the ticket he left behind and thanked me for being honest. He had $100 across on the 1 This hard land I cashed the ticket in and picked up $990 I went over to him and handed him the money he wanted me to take it all, I said no thank you it is all yours and walked away!

Well that was a quick minute to post to the bell going off. Usually with a minute to post, it's about 2 minutes before the gates open. Anyway nice story.
