G1 Race in Australia at Randwick Turf Course, the stewads trouble report read thus:

"Cathay Lady-Riders whip became entangled with another riders over concluding stages. - 6/04/2013 Rosehill

'6Apr13 ROS-M SL G1 3yo+ (US$416K) 11/ 1- - - 1 9 - B Shinn (3) 126 odds 100.00-1. She lost by 3.5 lengths.

First time I read that I thought it was funny. Then upon closer look it wsn't. Did the mare really missed her in the money finish, if it wasn't for the accidental entanglement? In Saturday's race she is 8-1.

How would you deal with this? Any ideas.

I don't see how that wouldn't have caused problems. If the incident messed with her stride then that loss was not that great.

If she figures in the race then I would bet her. She only lost by 3.5 lengths. If all else figures close then I would bet her.

JMHO

good luck :)

Try to find a replay, and decide yourself how much it affected the outcome and position lengths.

Today, it finished 3rd in a highly competitive race at 8-1. Not bad. Took the lead and reluctantly gave in in last 100 meters or so.
