This may be politically incorrect, but, as an Italian-American myself, I would say that those two kids look like they could be local kids from Boston's North End, especially that guy in the white baseball cap with the big schnozz.

If it turns out they're operatives from overseas, they did a pretty good job fitting in with the crowd. Gotta figure they're long gone now, unless they want to get caught.

i have lived in Boston my whole life. this is the first time that i have ever seen people so united. people have put aside their differences and united to make this city a safer place. everyone wants to run this marathon next year to show the world that a couple of bad actors can't take us down. this type of feelings will spread throughout our country. instead of having red and blue states we are going to all have the same goals of making this country a safer place to be.

from this evil there will be a lot more good that comes out. they can't take us down no matter how hard they try.

I thought they looked like two kids I grew up with. Of course the kids I knew don't look like that any more because they are 65 years old. I think the FBI is going to get a lot calls because there is a lot of kids that look like that.

Kudos to you, lamboguy, for helping out up there by taking some people in. I meant to give you props in the other thread, but didn't get around to it.
Must have been a rough week for you, what with the gold market and all. Your last sentence applies in full force.

What about these two guys? These guys look REALLY suspicious...or is one of the suspects also one of these two sans hat?

infowars (http://www.infowars.com/photos-private-military-operatives-hired-to-work-the-boston-marathon-with-black-backpacks-radiation-detectors-tactical-gear/) has several pictures of those guys, there are about five of them in total that were on the scene. it's pretty well documented that they are private contractors from some group called The Craft. I'd love to know what they were doing there and who they were working for. what seems clear is that they were totally surprised and shocked when the bombs went off and that the FBI has no interest in them as far as this investigation goes, so they must have checked out.

also, whoever hired them should get a refund.

So far they have focused on two in photographic detail, one might assume there are more who did not stick out and did a better blend. The marathon obviously a target that was to be televised. Was the plan hatched in Massachusetts or outside the state? My best guess is more than two are involved and vanned out of Massachusetts before the authority's could piece things together. Younger players of what seems to be a blast from the past, Weatherman underground, anyone recall the principles of that group?

someone found this photo (http://i.imgur.com/I1dF69f.jpg), which seems to show suspect #2 running away from the explosion, without a backpack.
left hand side, guy with white cap.

What's kind of upsetting about this photo is if you look in the center, on the road there are kids running away. Makes me sad.

Check out their boots and pants.Infowars has them pegged it seems.

But, given the bombs were reported to be transported in backpacks, these guys looked very suspicious...and dare I say, one of them appears like he could be of middle-eastern descent...

Maybe I'm just flat wrong, but it sure seems like there's got to be something bigger going on. Shutting down an entire city seems like a pretty serious precedent to set for two schmucks with homemade bombs, one of which is dead. Surely they wouldn't tell every other idiot with such plans that they can cripple a major metropolis by acting like these two have. They've got to be worried that there's someone else out there ready to capitalize on such a concentration of responders in one location or something.

Once they issued the order for the suburbs the Mayor of Boston did the same for liability reasons. If somebody 2 blocks into the city gets killed on the way to work, Boston PD gets sued.

Yeah, I never would have guessed in a thousand and a half years that anyone brazen enough to walk around in front of hundreds of cameras with his identity completely revealed would be taken alive under any circumstances. This kid may be bright, but this was one stupid execution if the goal wasn't being caught or killed.

Accurate post, on all accounts.........gee, i better take off the shrink wrap,......:lol:Injured and on the run, he found a hiding place in boat in someone backyard. Not the brighest move, but he did not have a lot of options at that point. I think when all is said and done, it will be discovered that they were doubled crossed by someone(s) who was suppose to help them escape. The younger kid was an A student in high school and was pre med in college. Most Islamic terrorist can't even spell college let alone get into one even by today's low standards. The kid eluded the best and brightest law police and FBI agents for 4 days. Most Islamic terrorist get caught before they can even act. Even Timothy McVeigh was caught in 90 minutes after the OKC bombing for driving without a license plate and arrested for unlawfully carrying a weapon. By the end of the day, they knew they had their man. Terry Nichols was also arrested the same day. Within a week they had the Fortiers too. Only the Atlanta Olympic Bomber Eric Rudolph elude capture for very long. (7 years). Although no one else was convicted , I remain unconvinced that he did not have a lot help avoiding capture after he was once identified as the bomber.

You are right, I was wrong. But I still think there is something very fishy about this. Without the carjacking and the shootout they could have simply denied any involvement and would have remained as "persons of interest". None of the photos are incriminating in any way.

In spite of all the so called evidence, a good lawyer will put forth "reasonable doubt" and a sympathetic jury (with a few Muslims on it) could produce an outcome that would be similar to the OJ verdict. Of course a confession would make all that a moot point. In the grand scheme of things, we really need to start being more selective about who we let in the door.
