Seeking help with advance planning here--This year I will be in a location where I will probably have to watch the Derby live online via broadband without access to a TV.
Anyone watched the Derby live on TwinSpires recently?
I know sometimes the ADW signals can be a horror show on big days.
Wondering if I need to plan a better workaround to see the race without interruption.

I wouldn't bank on not having problems with the online feed the day of the Derby and the Oaks. If I remember correctly they show the Derby delayed because of TV contract, however i believe it is only for that one race on the card.

I have been having more problems than usual with their signal.
Plenty of freezing during races on Express.
Seems to me that the TwinSpires TV has the most reliable signal, but it can also freeze on occasion.

NBC Sports will have a live stream of the Derby (and Turf Classic). They will also have a stream for select broadband users of the Oaks and the undercard races that being at 11am Derby Day.
I would be more concerned about the ADW site(s) crashing.

I watch it last year there, but get your bets in early. As I remember the wager part went down.

Where are you going to be? NBC has over the air channels almost everywhere. A ten dollar antenna can pick it up.........

best advice is to tune in early even if you are just going to play the derby. get your bets in before the last race before the derby. last year I turned on live feed on TS around 11am and just left it on didn't have any problems until 15 min to the derby, but no big deal was placing bets on the undercard and watching it on espn then they went to nbc.

The warden does not allow television on weekends but I can sneak internet access through my work station at the correctional facility's library.
