Technically, yes. He finished first in the Blue Grass but was DQ'd.

I remember seeing him run in a maiden race at Arlington in 1986. Can't remember if he won or not.

Sir Barton who was the first triple crown winner actually broke his maiden in the Derby.

Two of three others did that early in the history of the race.
