9th@Mountaineer: 1Mile (8F) Clm5000N2L - Purse $8,400 - 4/16/13
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Favorites Win 45% of this condition Locally, & there will be a Heavy Fave.
A Personal "Bet Against" Angle i hold is low-odds 3YO's facing older B4 June.
This race will be a good test of that angle. Beyer Par is 51. No one in field
has reached that Fig at the Mile on Dry Dirt, but both #9,10 have hit Fitty.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1)Rhetoric (8/1ml)- 137-Day Layoff + 2 Slow Works for 6YO that broke his
maiden here last Oct. @6F in slop. Likely Needs This. Super/SHi5 BCS 2nite.
2) Park and Fly (10/1)- Owner tries training on JBM in town for 1st time.
Speed & Fade in 3 previous dirt attempts, similar fate likely here.
3) Chickasaw Kid (12/1)- 4YO makes route debut off useful prep last Tuesday
in "NightSchool" NiteCap. Bred2Love Xtra 550Y. VERY LIVE LONGSHOT imho.
4) Pegasus Hellas (15/1)- NY-Bred back off 136-Day break. Needs a Pace
meltdown, even then may be short off layoff. Wait for later in meet.
5) Donati (8/5ML Fave)- Lone 3YO drops,gets Deshawn 2nd off 5mo.vaca.
Lone win @2YO on Turf, closing in sprints locally in 2012. May just be a bit
too classy, but i'm Dubious at likely 4/5 off odds facing older.
6) Go Giovanni Go (20/1)- 6YO adds 440Y in route debut. Dam all sprint,
but sire has had some route winners. No Gio for me.
7) Rocky Cafe (5/1)- 5YO has been part of pace last pair locally, but has
a Top Dry Dirt Beyer of 35 in 12 tries. If 3,5,9,10 all fail to fire top shots?
8) Murphy's Best (20/1)- ...Just hasn't been good enough. 1-34 Lifetime,
Oh-16 Locally, 6YO stretches out 440Y third off layoff. Super/SH5 bomb.
9) Northern Monarch (9/2)- 2nd Choice ML, yet has 7 more Lifetime Losses
than Murphy next door. Entrymate ran 2nd to 6/5 winner last out. Awful
post, Best Beyers, Finally Gets Fast Footing. Could, but i'll Key "under".
10) Awesome Prince (6/1)- Won MSW @6F here in 2012, & returns from
TurfwayPoly with Two useful Tighteners. Terrible Post, scratches help.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EARLY LOOK: The Lone 3YO is, claiming price-wise, the only Dropper in field.
But as The Joker once said, "NOT SO FAST, BOY WONDER!" I'm Messin' with
The Kid... CHICKSAW KID, 2nd off layoff. May get great stalking trip from a
good post. #'s 7,9,10 Solid Tri/Super Keys,& #'s 1,8 may BlowUp Super/SH5.
GOOD LUCK TO ALL, & See'Ya At Night School!

8th@Mountaineer: 1Mile (8F) Clm5000N2Y (Non-2 in 6mo.) 4/16/13
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ML Fave ran BIG in local debut 9 nights ago, but loses D.Parker to 2% rider.
Three in field eligible for easier N4L Condition. Three Class Droppers figure.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) Final Ending (8/1ML)- Nowhere in 4 dirt tries, faces tougher. Pace early.
2) Unstoppable Mick (7/2)- Catches N2-6mo.condition BY ONE DAY! 2nd off
Layoff, note GoodRace/BadRace pattern 2012. Also Note 0-8 on Fast Dirt.
3) Soul Coaxing (9/5ML fave)- Ran Big in Local Debut 9 nights ago, closing
into slow pace. Goes from 21% to 2% Rider= Connections Want bigger Odds?
4) Lost Forty (4/1)- Parker off Soul to ride invader, only S2R runner in field.
many 2012 Beyers would win this, but those were with different trainer.Could.
5) Starlits Touch (30/1)- Was 4th vs. U.Mick in 2012. That was N3L.
6) Pico Pico (6/1)- 119-day Break w/4 works for chilly connections. Rolled
to 11-length win vs. OPEN $5K Claimers only local try. Fresh, Guns Early?
7) Immortal Wink (10/1)- I Bet Wink when he 'Broke' his maiden, Nov.2008
@SuffolkDowns... only to Get DQ'd! 7YO steps up in form. Tri/super shot.
8) Jon Ron (8/1)- Dreadful LocalDebut @9/5,claimed by Sharp Owner/Trainer.
Poor Post, but i think the ML price TOO JUICY not to include in P3/P4.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EARLY LOOK: ML Fave on paper looks like $5 Winner, but they don't run'em
on Paper. Droppers 2,4,6 all fit,& Jon Ron interesting price. Good Luck 2All!
