Pardon me, but WTF was that !! ??

I don't usually cry "conspiracy" but it sure looked to me like that #9 would EASILY go by the #3 for 2nd place and the jock simply quit riding.
Put the whip away, stopped pumping, and even appeared to grab hold a bit when he got to the throat latch of the #3...as though he almost screwed up and pased that horse for 2nd

Who saw this?

i didn't watch the head-on replay but the jock definitely took a hold near the wire. was it to keep the 9 from veering into the 3?

I had the :1: wheeled in the exacta, and was figuring on that :9: getting 2nd. Did look a little hokey, but who's to say. Maybe the :9: took a bad step that the jock felt or maybe the :3: just dug in a little.

A couple of weeks ago I thought I had a real live longshot with the :11: at 99-1. He broke well and looked like he was full of run. Was it just me or was the jockey jetskiing in the backstretch on the back of this horse?

The horse was veering directly into 3. If the jockey hadn't taken hold and pulled the horse to the right, there could have been a nasty collision.

watch the head-on replay and it will make sense.
the nine had drifted in quite a bit, then approaching the wire the three comes out sharply causing the rider of the nine to grab hold.

That makes sense - anyone have the head on?

Calracing (free to sign up) has the headons for Tampa races (believe it or not) just type the horse name in the search box.
