Anyone catch the 4th race at Keeneland yesterday? I can't believe there wasn't at least an inquiry in the race. Twinspired, for whatever reason, decided to start running about 3 seconds after the race started. Don't know if he was stuck in the gate, or the assistant starter was still holding him. He has had a had of slow breaking before, but never as bad as yesterday. The stewards should've at least looked at it.

This actually happens at many tracks where horses will be off slow while the asst starter is holding the horse.

The logic here is that if the horse is 'acting up' and the gates open and the starter happens to be holding the horse at the time, they don't refund because they use the 'horse caused his own problem' logic.
