The biggest Keeneland weekend of the Spring is on deck.

Reigning horse of the year Wise Dan returns Friday in the G1 Maker's 46 Mile.

Saturday of course features the G1 Bluegrass Stakes but also four other graded stakes on the undercard.

Looks to be a lot of good wagering opportunities, thoughts and selections??

Supposed to be some chilly weather moving in, so the sightseeing opportunities should be dramatically reduced.

I'll be going there this Friday thru Sunday. I haven't been to Keeneland since the filming of Seabisquit. Hope its not as cold as it was back then. My biggest memory of that trip was watching Ghostzapper break his maiden in his 1st start, blowing by everyone in the last two hundred yards, on TVG later on in the day. I'm sure the "scenery" will be great no matter what the weather is like.

Looks like Sunny with high around 60 for Friday and Saturday. I can live with that. I'll be there Saturday for sure and possibly Friday also.

1. Silentio, Rafael Bejarano (9-2)
2. Mr. Commons, Corey Nakatani (9-2)
3. Skyring, Rosie Napravnik (20-1)
4. Data Link, Javier Castellano (3-1)
5. Wise Dan, Jose Lezcano (3-5)

Gee, it sort of slipped my mind that Wise Dan did in fact, win HOY, maybe it was the lack of threads bashing the HOY selection that i got used but didnt see this time around.

Lets go with Footbridge in the Blue Grass and hope he likes the plastic. (and lack of lasix)

Well, Skyring can't finish 10th like he did in the Shadwell Mile last fall.

I may need a few Makers Mark 46 shots to bet on the above with any gusto.

Having said that, I still wish I was going to Keeneland this weekend, Leparoux.

Last time off a similar freshening, he won with a 117 Beyer. I wouldnt recommend betting against him.
