Q. What is high speed?

Answer: My new computer and the internet!

I've had a home computer since 1985 but it was for my own personal use.

In the late '90's more and more people were hooking up with the internet.

I bought a computer that would do that in 2000 and the cable connection along with it. I jumped on the bandwagon.
It opened a whole new world for me.
I was happy with it.
But in the rearview mirror, it was s..l...o......w.

I updated in 2011 and POW! No that is not Prisoner of War.
But boy was I a prisoner until I updated.
Sites started coming in as fast as I could type them.
Wow Pow.

In less than a generation the computer and the internet has changed my life.

In my wildest imagination growing up I couldn't envision ever having so much access to information at my fingertips in such a fast time.

Perhaps Alvin Tofler - Future Shock - was right with his idea that information could be coming at us faster than we could assimilate and accommodate it.

Also in the rearview mirror, I got on the internet just 13 years ago.

How did I survive without it?? (Oh I forgot. Those were the good old days.)

Well, at least we can say it was a quick death...
