A couple options here for board readers:

I have these selections in order of preference.

8th: 10/2/3
9th: 4/6 (if the 14 draws in I'll use)
10th: 4/5/3
11th: 5/7
12th: 4/1/3
13th: 4/6 (if the 14 draws in I'll use)

3x2x3x2x3x2 = 216 = $21.60

If the ae's draw in the price goes up to $48.60

Bigger ticket includes:

6 and the 8 in the 8th
11 in the 9th
10 in the 10th
2 in the 11th
1/7 in the 13th

I'm okay leaving the 12th alone.

That makes the ticket before scratches, and assuming the ae's are in

5x4x4x3x3x5 = 3,600 = $360

Some scratches played havoc with my picks. The race that has me flustered in the 11th. I was trying to beat the 3, mainly with the 4 or 5. Can I go to battle with just the 7 and 2? No. I'm going to throw the 3 in, and the 2 out. Instead of the 2 I'll use the 6 - will Emma Jane come back to punish me?

With the scratches will only go 3 deep in the 8th.

New play:

8th: 10/2/3
9th: 4/14
10th: 4/5/3/10
11th: 7/3/6
12th: 4/1
13th: 6/14/1

3x2x4x3x2x3 = 432 = 43.20

If your budget is slightly larger throw the 6/8 in the 8th and the 2/13 in the 11th

That makes a $120 ticket.

on paper I like the 3,6.
7 has had a nice work tab, and 2 was a well-meant horse who they brought back slowly over the winter. Tough race, a bunch of these have a shot.

The favorite 4 could be vulnerable. Some weaknesses in a maiden win although it looks flashy on paper.

Not me I took out #7 in Race 10 and #8 in Race 12. It cut the ticket price in half. I really thought the #3 would mow them down...he did...but after the wire:bang:
