in race 5 for some reason the 6 bothers me a little.


I'm going for a spread pick 3 later:

R9 2,3,5,7 =$48

purpose of that play is if the 9th race isn't a single(it looks like your 5 may be) - then 2,3,7 add good value in the earlier multi's

for fun i'll also do this:

R9 :5: =$12 = now i've singled the 5, and if the ticket is still alive i will consider a 2,3,5,7 w/ 2,3,5,7 exacta as well as some other hedge plays

nope too classy for these , you were right on the single.
would have broken exactly even on the pk-3s and then lost a little if i tried to hedge...

exacta here paid good with sky venture.

I ended up playing a more conservative bet with the 7th race

nothing huge today, but for 12.80 they would've been nice.

i picked the 3,6 in this race but i'm done betting for the day.

The 3 is either better than these or he's just going to be in the mix. The :6: looks like he could run. It's tough to bet a maiden going 9f in a big field if you don't love them, and the 6 is taking more money than i would have hoped.
