Computer software offers some extremely powerful tools for editing digital film and audio. It may have taken a lot less time than you can imagine.

One rule of thumb I've heard is that it takes 8 hours of edit time 0per finished minute. That's sounds about right. I could see this taking 3 days to make.

If that took 3 days...in the hands of anybody decent with software.......they were drinking.

Gathering the clips might take a long time if you are starting from scratch. It looks to me like they used a similar source for many ( same Laurel n Hardy movie maybe?) of the clips, but 3 days to just put it all together would be a very slow editor
