Using Kelly in horseracing implies an ability to differentiate accurately between 12/1 and 20/1 shots. For some reason longtime mathematically and technologically gifted guys like Ken Massa and those who eunderstand market efficiency think it a very poor idea, yet there are alot of newbie posters around that espouse the benfits.:D

Do a search you will find plenty.

I think FP is right, it sounds logical, but doesn't really work in reality.
I don't think any of us can accurately predict what our win % and ROI will be from meet to meet, or year to year.
I never have been able to do so, in forty years of betting horses.
