Sillly me! I thought takeouts paid most of the purses! Maybe they should have 10 $50,000.00 NW1 ALW races that day and spread the winnings to more owners and trainers if enough $$ is not bet on the bigshots to cover it!

Can't wait to see that plan for financing the race. They'll probably raise their takeout again. One thing you can betcha, it won't come out of *their* hide.
