4 CAPTAIN CAMELOT 4-1 Talamo
Trainer has a good record with debut runners in maiden claimers. In fact, his 3 wins with 1sters have come in maiden claiming ranks. He has won 3 of 12 (25%) with 6 ITM (50%) with debut claimers and all were ridden by J Rosario. Top rider Talamo for this spot. Works for other winners were slow. These are decent and faster than his other debuters.
2 ARMY COMMANDER 15-1 Kubinova
One of two in here for new trainer Michael Curtis. While the other runner will get more attention, especially since Pedroza is off this one to his other runner, this one is more intriguing. Showed speed against better at DMR. Shifts to the new trainer and comes in with a lot of works, the last three good 6 furlong moves were each progressively better.
6 WILD TONY 7-5 Guiterrez
Claimed from debut by Reddam/O’Neill and he just missed coming right back with a 4-1 win for the new connections. Like the confidence shown by putting him in a MSW next out but he faltered badly at 7-2. Drops back down to the original level and must be considered in here spot based on the big effort 2 back. Will be using defensively.
