Sarah Palin writing book about Christmas

NEW YORK (AP) -- Sarah Palin has a new book coming, this time about Christmas.

The former Republican vice presidential candidate and Alaska governor has a deal with HarperCollins for "A Happy Holiday IS a Merry Christmas," scheduled for November. HarperCollins announced Monday that the book will criticize the "over-commercialism" and "homogenization" of Christmas and call for a renewed emphasis on the religious importance.

Doesn't matter what she writes about. The right will buy it in droves and then tell us that we should be impressed by how many people bought the book. (shrug)

How often have we heard liberals around here complain about being in the minority. Yet hcap starts all these threads trying to stir shit with conservatives.
Go figure.

Hcap is obsessed with Sarah Palin. She obviously causes an uncomfortable tightness in his trousers.

Here you go, Hcap. Some "Food for thought."

I think Mrs Palin is a remarkable woman who has views other than Hcrap narrow view. He oscillates his fits of hate in his posts between Mrs Palin and President Bush primarily because they are still vibrant personality's in today's world and news.

Palin is the right wing's pop star equivalent to the left wing's Oprah.

Why anyone with half an ounce of grey matter between their ears would listen, buy or entertain anything from these two fly weights is a wonderment to me.

Yet they both have a "Midas Touch" that tells me that there are a lot of stupid consumers out there who put out money to buy their tripe.

And yet those masses are what every Presidential candidate has to tap in on in order to be elected.

Winston Churchill knew that when he said:

"The best argument against democracy is a five minute conversation with the average voter."

That so many flock to either Palin or Winfrey just convinces me how dumb the average voter is with respect to elections.

And America, having elected a failing Presidency in the last go round, doesn't convince me otherwise.

It is all about the money, it has always been and will always be so. When you get tired and Mrs Palin President Bush seem like old ammunition in your posts just remember that you will see their faces over and over again like a bad dream. The cuts will come because there is no more money.

hcap

Bad dream is about the only thing you posted that is correct.

No, it is not ALL about the money.

http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/342687/palin-trump-get-longer-speaking-slots-cpac-katrina-trinko

According to an internal draft of the minute-by-minute schedule at CPAC, Rand Paul, Rick Perry, Bobby Jindal, and Scott Walker are each slated to give 13-minute remarks on the main stage. Marco Rubio and Paul Ryan, however, get eleven minutes to deliver their comments. Former presidential candidate Rick Santorum is scheduled for a mere seven minutes.

The biggest winners in the time lottery are Sarah Palin (16 minutes) and Donald Trump (14 minutes). Palin and Trump are expected to be crowd-pleasers at CPAC: News of their respective appearances caused ticket sales to spike, according to a source.

Hmnn...... I should have posted this also on "This is Why You Lost Thread

So far, the ONLY budget that balances the budget in 10 years - or even TRIES to do so, has been submitted by Ryan.

All your other poop pales in comparison to that fact.

So far, the ONLY budget that balances the budget in 10 years - or even TRIES to do so, has been submitted by Ryan.

All your other poop pales in comparison to that fact.Let's see now

Repeal of Obamacare (though we keep Obamacare's cuts to Medicare, as well as its new taxes).

Medicare would be converted into a voucher system.
Big cuts to Medicaid.

Big cuts to other domestic programs.

Repeal of the sequester cuts in the Pentagon budget.

A "simplified" income tax system with only two brackets, 10 percent and 25 percent.

A reduction in the corporate tax from 35 percent to 25 percent.

Ain't gonna happen. Keep dreamin'

Tom
03-13-2013, 03:21 PM
Whether it happens or not, it is the ONLY acceptable one out there.
It is a budget based on fiscal responsibility, not partisan politics and game playing, which, hcap, is ALL your guys have to offer - other than lies.

Of course the good of the nation never entered your feeble mind. OR Obama's.

...“You know, I have never met a group of people that is so upset that the economy is rebounding than the folks over at Fox,” Heldman told MSNBC’s Al Sharpton. “I mean, the signs are really clear, not only the unemployment rate dropping, but housing starts, new housing starts, housing prices, the fact that the stock market has doubled since 2009, that private wealth has been fully restored… But it is getting better, and we can’t be in denial about this because that actually affects consumer confidence.”

“I think that Sean Hannity is a perfectly likable person,” she added. “I happen to know that he tips 100 percent in his private life, I just wish that his public stances and the stances of Republicans didn’t go after the poor, the elderly, kids with Pell grant cuts, Medicaid cuts, job training cuts. I mean, you really do have to put your money where your mouth is.”

I'm not sure where you got this (they need to turn off spell-check/auto-correct) but I'm mostly interested in Revrum Al's response... he's my favorite comedian on all the "news" channels.

Yeah, Sharpton is a funny guy but can't hold a candle to Sean et al.
I always try to catch Michele Malkin. I just turn off what ever she

Al is actually funny, the good kind of unintentionally funny. Sean is just irritating. And no comment about the Malkin story... other than to say I knew we had some common ground... :D

Drat, there wasn't enough attention given to Al's response in the story, but thanks for the link.

Oh hell, I missed the embedded video the first time through... I'm three minutes in and loving it... I wish I could catch Al on television...

I take back what I said earlier too - she did use the phrase "starts" - I just assumed it was meant to be "stats" in the context originally.

I am sure someone on Fox will come to Hannity's rescue---probably Hannity

When your in the hole over 16 trillion, and the BET yo can do is to cut back on how much further you go into debt over ten years - not one cent of real spending cuts, mind you - there is NOTHING to rejoice, hcap.
Unless you are a simpleton or a democrat.

We are still millions of jobs lighter than when Obama took office - there is no recovery going on, there is number- juggling.
