9th@Mountaineer~ 6F F&M Clm5000N2L -3/12/13
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Four in field return from 3rd@MTR. March2nd, adding 220Y. While 3 in field
drop in class off last, only ONE horse drops to the $5,000N2L Tag first time.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) Sofia & Mia (3/1ml Fave)- Only TRUE class dropper, 3YO Filly won MSW
locally 3 months ago. Rail hasn't been best post in sprints so far in 2013.
2) Munter Aufgewatcht (8/1)- Mid-pack in 3/2 common race when 5/1.
5YO strongest asset connections. May need Ohio dirt to shine. Guns early.
3) Beauty Plus (10/1)- Local Debut for White-Hot owner/trainer. Showed
speed 2&3 back, chuck last. Low % rider named. Watch DD w/p's in 8th.
4) It's Ruby (6/1)- 3YO Ky shipper broke maiden in Painfully slow time,
even by WV standards. May get dream stalking trip, "Go-To" rider aboard.
5) Dancin Annie (5/1)- 1-for-37... 8YO... off 20 weeks w/1 work. 5/1ml??
While recent PP lines look like Big Class Drop, was in Mcl$4500 early career.
6) I'm Courageous (8/1ml)- Raced evenly in 3/2 race, Humongous change
in rider2 D.Parker, which should cut ML odds in half if truly live.I'm Dubious.
7) Masterous Degree (12/1)- Broke maiden 2 back in slop @Beulah for the
bottom tag, $2,500. Will try to gun early, hear "BeepBeepBeep" in stretch.
8) Play The Game (8/1)- 6YO mare Private Purchase from Martin Bros.,not
a strong win-back angle. Tri/Super BCS if speed goes crazy early.Overbet?
9) Still Owing (12/1)- D.O.B. in 3/2 race, ran sneaky good on rail late. Gets
interesting rider switch. 4YO may move forward in 2nd start off break. $$.
10) Morning Ovation (5/1)- Amazingly Lukewarm 7/2 fave in 3/2 common
race off +21mo. Layoff. Will horse improve/regress 2nd off long break?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EARLY LOOK: #'s 2-6-9-10 all return from 3/2 5F race; Extra 220Y looks to
help #9,10 off watching replay. Dislike backing 3YO's vs. older this time of
year, so i'm leaning against the #'s 1-4. i'm going for Home Run in Late DD
by using #3 & #9. Including #4 in 3-horse price exacta box.

8th@Mountaineer ~5.5F F&M Alw28400N4L ~ 3/12/13
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eight Runners raced at Six Different Tracks last out,& half the field return
from short layoffs, including a 3YO Filly entered above condition eligibilty.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) Because Of Me (7/2ml)- 4YO was beaten by #6 two back here. Speed
sharpened off 4.5F C'Town dash. Inside Speed, move up if #4,8 scratch.
2) Rigamaro (12/1)- 3rd off +6mo.layoff for 6YO steps up off Penn Nat.
win vs. $10K/N3L foes. Only local try Year Ago vs. Open Alw. Foes.
3) Senacher (5/2ml fave)- 5YO Cuts back 220Y in local debut. Class of
field on paper needs pace early to close into. One to Beat, but no lock.
4) Pretty Much Mine (6/1)- Speedy Ohio-Bred goes for 3-Peat, bringing
her jock with her. Needs EZ lead to win, doubt she'll get one. Pace factor.
5) Maxine's Pride (8/1)- 4YO steps up, tries dirt 2nd time, & Dam offspring
have done well in dirt sprints. New Trainer has Low % with new stock.
6) Splendor Town (3/1)- Four Solid tries at this level, Parker back riding,
Five works since Turfway try. No Value, must-use in P3/4.
7) Nava (20/1)- Rank Outsider in ML odds, 4YO cuts back 550Yards off of
Fifteen week break w/3 local works. Like Rider switch, but tough spot.
8) Take It Out (6/1)- Lone 3YO tries older 1st time off Four month break
with Two slow works (sandbagging?) Will try to clear early, hold on late.
Eligible for N3L Foes/ straight 3YO's, so this could be prep. Watch Tote.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
EARLY LOOK: Splender Town is 3/1ml second choice, but Parker & local
efforts may make her PostTime Fave. Senacher wants fast pace early.
Rigamaro crazy longshot stepping up; 2012 Local Try OK vs. better.
GOOD LUCK to ALL THAT PLAY, see 'Ya at Night School!
