Terrible last two times at Maywood. Looking to change that luck up tonight at Balmoral!
R1: 1,4,9......Tymeto B Bluegrass-5/1 ML......Drops in class here to claimers. Has won against tougher and draws the rail with Oosting. Should be closing late.
R2: 4,1,8......Who's Your Pumpkin-6/1 ML......Closed steadily last time, but was out kicked by better. Gets a driver change to Leroy Miller and a closer post. Should be closer to the pace this time around and should get more value this time around.
R3: 7,2,6......Western Deal-5/1 ML......Drops in class here back to where this gelding wheeled off 4 wins in a row at this level. Should be closing late.
R4: 8,3,6......So Shoe Me-8/1 ML......Comes off the couple month layoff. Patton had a nice qualifier on this mare over the slop. Should be able to improve on that time. Will be coming far back and will need to make sure she doesn't get stuck behind dead horses. Mr. Trifecta's Longshot of the Night!
R5: 6,3,7......Mackenzie's Power-7/2 ML......Cashed last two at this level. Curtin is still aboard. Loves to be out on the lead and will have a pace battle with the 7 here. Should have plenty in the tank down the stretch.
R6: 3,1,6......Katie Ryan-5/1 ML......Went 3 wide, but didn't progress. Dave Magee is aboard and should be able to correct that. Should be closing and coming in late. Look for a late 2-3w move.
R7: 9,7,6......Fox Valley Arneis-8/1 ML......Draws the far outside, but shouldn't be too much of a factor. Loves to close late and should be flying around the Stretch call. Clear trip and this gelding has a strong shot. Mr. Trifecta's Pick of the Night! Pick-4: 7,9 w 2,5,6 w 2,3,6 w 5,6 - $36
R8: 6,2,5......Russell The Muscle-5/1 ML......Draws a bit better post this time. First time step up in class and got hung at 3Q. Gelding is still learning the ropes. Loves to close late and could very easily improve here. Need a strong closing kick.
R9: 6,3,2......Kennan's Nancy Lee-8/1 ML......3rd start of the yar and shook off the rust in the last two. Leonard stays aboard. Has cashed at much tougher. Should be closing late. Will need to outkick the 3, but will take the price.
R10: 6,5,4......Haileysheartdesire-6/1 ML......Closed like a bullet last time out. Draws the 6 hole and looking for a similar move again. Clear trip and could hit the wire.
