Escort says Menendez prostitution claims were made up

An escort who appeared on a video claiming Sen. Robert Menendez (D-N.J.) paid her for sex has told Dominican Republic police that she was instead paid to make up the claims in a tape recording and has never met or seen the senator before, according to court documents and two people briefed on her claim.

The woman identified a lawyer who approached her and a friend to make the videotape, according to affidavits obtained by the Post. That man has in turn identified another lawyer who gave him a script for the tape and paid him to find women to fabricate the claims, the affidavits say.

The escort was one of two women who taped videos that seems to support a tipster’s allegations that Menendez had patronized prostitutes while vacationing in the Dominican Republic.

FBI agents conducting interviews in the Dominican Republic have found no evidence to back up the tipster’s allegations, according to two people briefed on their work.

Although the story was posted on Right wing blogs (as you and I both know the left will not hold one of their own in a bad light), I missed the part in the story where the guy who actually set up the story to be fabricated was right wing.....could you help with that part?
Or was it just a disgruntled guy or lady who didnt like Menendez?
How do we know that the lady was paid again more to say it was fabricated?
Was the Secret Service one fabricated as well.....???

It's possible I was hasty and wrong to point fingers at righties here. I just did a search and the only thread I could find about this was one Ralph started a couple days before the last election. But it turns that Ralph nor anyone else here actually took Menendez behind the woodshed for what was reported by the Daily Caller.

O'REILLY: Now, all fair-minded Americans will presume that Senator Menendez is innocent until proven guilty of any criminal allegations, but in general, exploiting children is the worst possible scenario for any politician, and Menendez has to know that. The evidence clearly shows that he was not up front about the jet trips, but that's a trifle compared to the underage prostitution allegations.

For those of us in the media who want to be responsible and fair it's a very tough story to cover and The Factor held it back for some time. But now, the story has advanced far beyond the rumor stage. As an American, I hope Menendez did not have anything to do with exploiting children... I hope.

You perceived it right, but then you gave some other analogies that to my knowledge have not been proven to be true. Which is why I said "only" based on time in my next response, please add in whether they are valid stories or not. If any of those women that made those claims against Cain have said publicly that their stories were madeup then you are spot on then, so show me that because I don't recall any of them recanting their stories. To me it would appear that these women saw their window open for these accusations to become public when he made the spotlight in his political run, much like when people come out the woodwork when somebody becomes a pro athlete or celebrity. But, here's the kicker...NO WHERE in my post did I mention anything with time involved. And, as best I recall, no where did NJ mention anything in relation to time.....
You were the person who brought time into this. So, again...my reply is valid.
The point is, the left will attack those on the right, and the right will attack those on the left. But, as NJ has since back tracked some...the guy who either paid or fabricated this story has not proven to be right or left wing as of yet.
And, as of yet, it hasnt been proven to be fabricated...just that now the hooker (like she has a lot of credibility now), has since recanted.
