Santa Anita picks for Sunday:

R1 - #1 Wild Shaman-Turf experiment is over. Not really bred for sod, so maybe the move to dirt will move up a bit. Has shown he can handle the distance.

R2 - #6 Cruisenrightalong-ML fav starting to look like a sucker horse. This one’s another runner that’s not really bred for turf coming back to dirt. Should be rolling late.

R3 - #2 Rhino Chaser-Last effort was tremendous, can take the lead with a clean break in this field. Short price means P3 single maybe.

R4 - #6 Award Winning Team-Been drilling well for second start, something this barn excels at. Showed good early speed first time, should be right in the mix again.

R5 - #7 Crystal Colony-Emerges from pretty competitive race, showed immediate improvement under Mitchell’s care. Like him to handle this field.

R7 - #5 Forbidden Star- Barn does great with the dirt/turf move. Responded well to lasix last time and should move up on the grass.

R8 - #5 Winner From Mars-Another one as game as they come. With not much pace signed up I like him to sit in the garden spot and get first jump.

R9 - #7 Intimately-Ran well enuff w/ML favorite for me to take a
