Does anyone think this is happening in the United States?
Horse meat from slaughtered racehorses is very dangerous to human health.
The use of hormones and other drugs like Bute and Lasix is very bad.
I sure hope this is not happening here in the United States. :(

I know it's been a big story in the UK, but I'm worried it could be in the US and they just aren't disclosing it, it would be so disasterous to the economy.

Sweden's Ikea has said that they have found horsemeat in some of their meatballs in Europe and they've recalled them.

We were in Sweden in 2006 and the hotel we stayed in had a euro style buffet type breakfast. Lots of wonderful pastries and breads and stuff like yogurt and meusli and processed meats one of which was horse meat. I told my wife that I would try some before we left but I never did. I couldn't, probably because of how close I am to this game.

Speaking of Taco Bell, I like that new commercial where the chef makes them try 9 times until they get the steak right for their new Steak Burrito....I tried one, I think they should have gone for 12 or 13.

I know people who work with horse rescues (for racehorses) who would not agree with this article.

Unless all the good people in So. Cal and other areas who rescue and donate money to save racehorses from slaughter houses....unless they are mistaken, which they are not......someone is lying about this, and in my opinion it's ABC news.....just one more reason not to watch ABC news for me.
Why was a bill passed to allow horsemeat for human consumption in the US, and why did President Obama sign it?
