Good card tonight!
R1: 5,2,3......Jordan Jeffrey-4/1 ML......Stahl gets the ride on this gelding tonight. Tried to wire the field and fast fractions last time only to have run out of gas. Draws a prime post here. I would suspect this gelding will be up front stalking the lead and making a later move.
R2: 1,4,8......Lined With Cash-5/2 ML......Stahl back aboard and draws the rail. Nearly wired the field before getting caught last time out. Should be strong against this company.
R3: 4,6,5......Mainline Hall-2/1 ML......No excuse for this gelding to not beat this field. Gets Stahl and should be much the best here. Mr. Trifecta's Lock of the Night!
R4: 2,5,7......Crown Heights-4/1 ML......Cashed three back against claimers. 2nd try at this level, flashed some nice 2q speed, but got caught down the stretch. Should be out front and towards the lead. Just needs to save enough in the tank for the stretch.
R5: 6,3,8......Norma's Rose-3/1 ML......Didn't fire well from the outside. Draws a bit closer where she wired the field. Merriman stays aboard.
R6: 5,4,7......Beans and Weenies-7/2 ML......Closed nicely to win last time out. Jumps up a bit in class and should fare well. Gets a great post and should be able to setup that perfect stalking trip.
R7: 3,1,4......Promiscuous-10/1 ML......2nd start off the claim could fire at a nice price. DIdn't show much last time out, but was going against tougher in my opinion. Also draws the 3 hole and could be a big benefit. Mr. Trifecta's Longshot of the Night!
R8: 5,1,7......Abby-15/1 ML......Won last time out at this level. Got to think the morning line is crazy for 15/1 as this mare should be much closer to 7/2. Either way, drive change to Stahl should be a good one here. Looks to be on the improve and will take those 15/1 if we get it. Mr. Trifecta's Pick of the Night!
R9: 2,4,5......Masteroftheclass-4/1 ML......Drop in class here. Didn't show much from the outside, but draws much better this time out. Nearly wired the field twice last two of three, with a pair of cashes. Merriman should be on the front again and will get some company.
R10: 7,2,1......Terror of Thetrack-8/1 ML......Steps up in class after a big effort in claimers last time out from this hole. Draws the same again and looking to get that sharp trip again. Should get a decent price.
R11: 3,1,7......Jolly Jubiter-10/1 ML......Taking my shot with the shipper from the Meadows here. Wrenn Jr. is aboard. Times looks to be competitive with this field and can close fairly well. Should get a price.
R12: 5,2,3......Buckeye Patty-10/1 ML......Draws the money post here at Northfield. Page sticks aboard and is stepping up in class. Needs a good trip and a relatively slower pace to have a shot. Will take the price.
R13: 6,5,3......Gladiare Grande-4/1 ML......Dropping back down in a class where this gelding won three straight. Tossing last against tougher and should be there at the end.
R14: 4,9,1......Mattonthechooch-8/1 ML......Big drop in class after winning against much tougher. Draws a much better post and Smith stays aboard. All winning factors which I hope to come at a juicy price.
