Happy new year and long time no see ladies and gents! Took a 3 month hiatus as the end of the year is mega busy for me family wise. Looking to get back into the swing of things! Got some picks for tonight, so lets just see how rusty I am!
R1: 2,7,8......South Jersey Hey-8/1 ML......Dropping back down to 7500 levels here. Nearly won last time at this level. Facing much easier, but will need a good trip. Any form of early speed is to the outside. Should be within 3 lengths of the leader to have a shot.
R2: 4,1,7......Sea Gypsy-6/5 ML......Far too much for the rest of the field. Mr. Trifecta's Lock of the Night!
R3: 5,3,2......Odds On Aventure-5/2 ML......Dillander back aboard after nosing out similar company last time out. Can display some nice early speed and the five hole winning at an amazing 26% clip.
R4: 4,6,8......Foxy Guy-6/1 ML......Tossing last due to bounce. Draws the four hole. Has cashed last 5 of 6 with a victory in at lower level. Has come close and should good a good trip here. Mr. Trifecta's Pick of the Night!
R5: 6,1,9......Prom Queen Hanover-3/1 ML......Cashed last two of four and tough to beat with Ranger aboard. Does have some stiff competition so should be able to get the morning line here. Drop in class as well. Pick 4: 1,3,6,9 w 2,5,6,7 w 1,2,5 w 5,8 - $96
R6: 2,7,5......Cool Touch-7/2 ML......Dropping in class to 8k claimers. Has not cashed her this year and broke last time out. Haven't been able to settle down this gelding, but huge driver change to Wallis here especially jumping off from the 3. Shows me signs this gelding is ready to win. Likes to be on the lead and should get a challenge from the 3.
R7: 5,2,1......Looney Dune-8/1 ML......Cashed last time out after chasing a runaway. Dillander has her at what I believe is the best she can do. Maybe a barn burner on the front between the 1 and 2. Looking for that and seeing if Looney can close up. Won at the 5 hole last time out against lesser. Mr. Trifecta's Longshot of the Night!
R8: 5,8,3......He'smyman-5/2 ML......Never know what you are going to get with this horse. Plano has been very hit or miss. Last time at this post in this class, ran away by 2 1/4 lengths. Looking for the same here. Doesn't have great finishing but can grind you down. If the 8 gets clear, could be flying late.
R9: 6,5,3......Miss Maverick-7/2 ML......Not a whole lot to go on here. Was consistent until getting pulled away in the stretch last time out by a horse that had a year best. Gets another try. Hennessey should have her out on front with the lack of speed here.
