I had the fortune of standing at stud two products of his great program in Acaroid as son of Big Spruce who won the United Nations twice and Connecticut a grandson of Ta Wee. He was the breeder of most of my favs, the Dr, Fappiano and all the family of Aspididstra. He is a revolutionary horseman, IMHO and deserves much credit for helping the thoroughbred breeding program in the US.

100 years old tomorrow! The story of thoroughfred racing in the US for the past 75 years goes through him. He just went in on a yearling two years ago, so he'll probably be around a while longer to see how that turns out. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
