Good find, not that it will do any good. You know those guys aren't going to let the facts get in the way of a good conspiracy theory. Even at the end of the story, they say that State Police confirm that the Bushmaster was used to kill all of the children. It's the link within the link.

They did not admit to lying about anything. They merely reported new information as they received it. Information that also turned out to be inaccurate. Imagine the shock when I found out you fell hook line and sinker for the nonsense in that article.

Okay, I'm not getting what the gist of all this is. Correct me if I misunderstand what the contention is here.

The "article" is latching on to the fact that at the time, the 24-36 hour or so period immediately after the shooting, that it was reported that the rifle was in the car. I heard that almost immediately when the news broke and they began reporting "details".

I also heard that there was another shooter. And that they found a guy in the woods that was dressed in camo saying "it wasn't me!". I heard that Adam Lanza was the brother of the shooter, Ryan Lanza. I heard that Ryan Lanza had killed his father in New Jersey and they were working two scenes. I heard a whole lot of stuff that within days was totally and utterly debunked.

So, is this theory that there is a conspiracy to change the initial reports to draw the ire of the world against AR15s and the like? The rest of the erroneous information was simply wrong, but this one was actually correct and they changed to narrative to make certain guns look bad?

Makes sense to leave the rifle in the car...you walk up to the school with a rifle, you're liable to tip your hand early...

I'm sure the truth will come out someday.
