When I turn on nothing happens-it doesn't beep-does that mean it needs new power supply?

FWIW, switches wear out also.

Try holding your tongue to the left while your pushing the button ;)

judd,
Many thanks for laying a curse on me ;)

Sunday I decided to clean my keyboard, and while I was at it, replace an internal DVD burner.

When I turned my computer back on, it was dead. No power up.
Power supply died.

The only other power supply that I've had go bad in 25 years was the result of a power surge (flames and sparks were shooting out of the canister on the electrical pole outside after the explosion).

Should have stuck your tongue out to the left

I had a similar problem with the computer not booting.

There is a quarter sized battery that maintains your clock and bios settings. It is located on the motherboard.

I changed this battery and no longer have problems.
