Well, the marketing department at Subway (http://connecticut.cbslocal.com/2013/01/25/subway-apologizes-for-shorting-customers-on-footlong-sandwiches/) must have those kind in spades!

I recall buying a sandwich at a local Arby's (now out of business) that only had meat on half the bread. When I complained the manager said, "I will fix that for you" and proceeded to cut of the extra 3 inches of bread.

I looked at him and said, "Really? This is how you are going to solve my problem?"

He laughed and walked away.

I called the franchise owner. The conversation started with me saying, "I have a horror story to tell you," and ended with him (literally) groaning into the phone. I said, "As a business owner, you just have to laugh this stuff off. You know they aren't going to treat the business like it is their own." Eventually, he sent me a bunch of freebie coupons and the next time I went in the manager had been replaced.
