Under normar conditions my desktops and laptops are almost never reboot...
I find the suspend feature very helpfull and take advantage of it all the time ...

Never had a hard drive failure.

On my 3rd computer since 1998.

On, sleep mode or hibernate.
I power off/reboot once a week mostly to get Windoze updates installed.

Shut down every nite, turn off the power strip. No reason to keep it on unless I'm using it.

Off every night, and I pull the cable cord out so no internet is possible.
