They gave to the:1: but when the showed the photo it sure looked like the:4: won. They showed the photo twice and it looked like the :4: won both times.

Just watched the replay multiple times - hard as hell to see the finish line because of the sun glare, but I thought the 4 won every time I watched it. Was there ever a definitive photo posted?

It's definitely the 1, but the picture is a bit difficult to see without getting a good look as the two heads blur together a bit. The 4's head is up, the nose touching the wire behind it is the 1's

Hard to see. The :1: won the head bob, but you really have to look closely.

I had to save the picture and blow it up a bit before I could see both heads right. It was a tricky one, but they got it absolutely right.

Not arguing - I'm a noob on this site and look at that picture and don't see the confirmation of the 1 as the winner. What am I missing?

Because he won. The easiest thing for me to see was the two sets of nostrils that clearly distinguish the two heads. Then you can see how the 4's head is up and that it is clearly the 1's head on the wire.

Save the picture off the website and blow it up in Paint or whatever art program you might have. You'll beable to see it then.

Well, you can actually see the 1's nose on the line in the mirror quite clearly. Got to say I didn't even look at that at first.

I implore anyone who is convinced the :4: won to just sit here on this page and look very closely at that picture. You DON'T even have to blow it up.

Just look at it closely, and it will become VERY OBVIOUS that the :1: won.

The easiest way to do it is to look at the eye of the :4: horse and follow the path of his head to the tip of his nose....and eureka!! He isn't even CLOSE to the wire... :lol:

He got beat by a clear nose.

The :1: is the winner alright. I had to figure out where the bit was on the :4: to be sure. I think it would have been a lot clearer if they had shown more of the mirror image. Needless to say I had the the :4: . Oh well, I still had a very good day.

This!! The nose sticking out isn't associated with the white bridle in the foreground on close inspection - wow. Thanks for the help guys.

Plus the coloring of the horses involved is also a clear giveaway as to who won. The :4: is much lighter than the :1: and that also clues you in on to whose nose is on the wire.
