Exciting move.

Do they keep Vick now?

He could prove to be an offensive genius in the league, but the debate on his "gimmick" offense working in the NFL is a good one. I can easily see him going the same route that Saban, Spurrier, and Petrino went here, and be back coaching college within a few years. Also, the Bears hired Trestman from the CFL, I was hoping they would hire Arians from the Colts.

Lets see Nick Foles the plodder won't fit.
Vick will last a half under Kelly's offense before getting injured-won't fit.

Sounds like a QB will need to be drafted.
Philly talk radio mentions Teddy Bridgewater and Johnny Manziel.
Is Manziel even eligable for the draft as a Sophmore..........

Vick is a big decision.

AFAIK he has a big salary cap number. The upside is that he provides security for having a success next season.

I would guess Kelly would want to keep him. Who knows?

There are also QBs to be had with good scouting. 49ers Kaepernick was a 2nd round grab.
Probably a bad example, but a recognizable one this year would be a guy like Denard Robinson (Michigan) in the 2nd round to back up Vick.

Robinson will probably end up playing WR in the NFL, while also returning kicks, like Devin Hester did for the Bears. He is playing WR for the upcoming Senior Bowl.

Hopefully Kelly will flop, the Iggles cut him loose before XMAS.....That would mean a bidding war between USC and TEXAS.

Unfortunately I think he has a chance to succeed but w/ have to dump Vick and Foles. Not sure who they can con to take Vick. Damaged goods. Not productive

Lot of guys can run that ZR scheme, but I doubt it will be their sole scheme. Denard Robinson would actually be a great choice for a change of pace, ala Kordell Stewart......but there are guys available that CAN run the ZR with success in the nfl if the # of plays are limited to <25

Denard Robinson won't play QB at the next level for a multitude of reasons most importantly but not limited to the fact he can't throw the football.

He could be the next Darren Sproles though.

If they were to waste a draft pick on Robinson they might as well trade for Tebow.
Same arms at the least Tebow would be more durable.
Actually why trade, Tebow will be there for the taking. ;)

In all seriousness, Tebow would make an excellent backup for Vick in a college system.
It's tough on a team when the QB goes down, and then you have to drastically change or scale-back the offense. A Chip Kelly offense would actually hide some of Tebow's deficiencies better as well and simplify things. All that, and virtually free on the market.

Unfortunately, Tebow is kind of a media circus waiting to happen. There are already doubters that Chip Kelly can do his magic in the NFL, you would think Kelly would stay away from adding unnecessary drama and pressure.

Who knows what's gonna happen

It will be extremely cool if the Eagles try some of the things Kelly was known for at Oregon.
