Identity Theft/Lifelock

I got an alert over the weekend from Lifelock telling me that someone tried to open a Sprint account using my identity. They say they are "investigating," and I need take no further action until notified by them. Does anyone have any experience with this? Seems to me that I should get in touch with Sprint somehow (I don't even use them for anything), but Lifelock tells me not to.

I used to be a Lifelock customer and i was notified by them 5 times that someone's trying to open an account with this and that company.How true i'll never know.I just read somewhere that the owner/head of Lifelock got his identity stolen when he bragged online that his identity (ss # and other impt.info) will always be secure with Lifelock...
