race 1: Bob Baffert fillies are drifting in the market, better to go with first time starter (3)REGIME with a serious worktab and selected by Bejarano.

2nd ($3.40 - 2.40)

race 2: tough race. The speed (1-3-6) seems to me weak speed risking an speed duel, and this could go to a closer. It's difficult to separte (5)MR WHY WHY WHY and (7)FIRST PUMP.

win & win

NP (no speed duel, Kenichi had a confortable lead)

race 3: Hot favorite (6)MISDEED wanted to go last time but Bejarano restrained and the filly backed out of the race. Today, with a good pace in front she should run well again.

race 4: an enigmatic race. (3)FRIENDS WITH MACY (bred for the distance) cost 29.000, in her debut had a 40.000 tag, and now, after a mediocre race she goes to madien special weight. I don't see the logic. There could be some "logic of the ilogic..."

I was in the wrong whale

race 5: (2)Career Student drop to the bottom seems too violent and suspicious. (3)Ruled by kisses drops 50% after an unexpected good race in his debut (20-1). (11)Spit ball run well first time claiming but there isn't any value. (9)MONSTER HIT run out of ground in his first claiming race and showed good speed overmatched and routing here 2 races back. Interresting longshot.

SPITBULL was first time cut that i didn't know about. so naturally i didn't play the stupid horse because the price sucked. if i knew of the ultimate change i would have been in.

race 6: (4)TWELVE FOLDS ran fine races here without blinkers, including a monster race on January 8th. The cycle is closing and the filly could celebrate the anniversary of her win today. They take off the blinkers and she's improved a ton in the morning

Dec 6: 49.3
Dec 29: 46.0

1st ($6.20 - 3.60 - 2.80)

a 14 race streak winless has ended, thank God!

Race 7 and 8: DAILY DOUBLE

Race 7: open affair. (7)TIME LORD is the lone speed and can win wire to wire if Bejarano controls the pace with soft fractions. (1)SHADOW RUNNER is a professional closer and if TIME LORD goes fast has a nice chance to win another race. (8)HUNTSVILLE has improved in the mornig with the short layoff and is another off the pace threat.

Race 8: (5)MY SLEW runs well fresh and he fired big here two races back

2nd > 3rd > 4th

this race was too open for good

this 7th race is tough!

i like the 3 but I can't bet at this price. I think he gets 1st run again.

Gomez waits to pounce with 5

Race 8: the presence of a fresh (1)Pulpit's Express, capable of ultra-quick fractions (21.2 > 44.0) on this track goes against speedy favorite (4)Derby Gold, who is training pretty slow for his standar (1.01.2 - 47.3) and may engage into a taxing duel. (5)MY SLEW run a super race after a long layoff in Del Mar, and later here over this 6f. Last time he could have bounced after marking a 88 Beyer and returning to the track just 18 days later, insufficient to recover. There is some class doubts but the price is great.

4-1 was a great price for track specialist MASTER CHEF... sometimes we lose by sheer greed ja ja !!!!

Race 4: (7)KIPP'N KIN can win in a tight call. The favorite risk a bounce

1st ($27.00 - 12.00 - 6.00)

The Spaniard
01-04-2013, 08:36 PM
race 5: the favorite (7) looks solid for the exacta. Debutante (5)IS IT NIC workouts are of a filly who is improving very fast

41.1 B > 39.1 B > 36.1 B

48.2 (2nd best of 62)

exacta box 1st - NP

The Spaniard
01-04-2013, 09:01 PM
race 6: (8)CAN'TOUCHTHISGAL runs always her best race first time after a layoff with a 69 > 71 Beyer. She can upset the favorite and is the value bet of the race.

1 win / 2 place

NP

The Spaniard

race 7: the track is playing fair. Too much speed in here and that could develop a pace meltdown. In that case closer (8)DEPUTY DEHERE, who always runs a 59 on dirt would have a good chance, specially dropping from $10.000
