Race 1: on paper (8)LOUWALA CLOUGH is the lone speed of the field, cutting back in trip (has run well at 7f) for a competent route to sprint trainer, and she's got some back class (54 Beyer at the higher Md 15.000 level. The only negative is the lack of workouts.

this filly has worked out in a official race, a good way to rise the odds for the next

race 2: the favorite looks tired of competition and going downwards. (8)JUST STALLIN improved a ton in his debut for his new trainer (the barn is hot), he's got speed and will be dangerous if improving again.

3rd ($5.80)

i have no idea how that horse never got the lead in that race. Delta Downs is the most impossible track for me my whole life. its the only track that i have shut myself off from.

race 4

:4: El Cascador-----Im excusing the last race in the mud at 5f.Some signs of life in the previous two races(after a long layoff) and does have a bit of early lick when right.Chance to wake up here at long odds as there is no world beaters in this group.

The Spaniard

race 4: (6)LAWTONCIRCLE NP is the quickest out of the gate and the positive change of barn (19% first start) may have him sharper (48.4B). The same for (1)IT'S NO SECRET 2nd who is fast when the track has moisture.

2nd ($6.60 - 3.80)

Add an apparent speed bias to an (already) difficult track definitly make things chaotic here  .
I accept it and just try to stick with my plays....knowing I probably need a price.

race 7: (10)A LITTLE LIGHT shows a pattern of big race> bounce > big race > bounce (61 > 44 > 57 > 36), has good tactical speed an just 5 runs in dirt routes (2 wins), and 2 good workouts after last race. (4)BARBSWHODAT[B] as a saver.

Delta is not for everyone, but for some it is great profit. I played last night's card and tonight's card live on my forum, testing a new rankings method and literally killed the card last night. Played 9 of the 10 races, hitting 8 winners, 3 box exactas, 1 box trifecta, the Daily Double, 2 pick 3s (one of them paid over $2000 for $1, and would have had a pick 4 in the following race had there been a pick 4 in those 4 races).

$2 win profits, alone, were well over $100.

Tonight was a different story, $2 win profit/loss was $-28.80. Both cards were posted in the Selections section of my forum if you care to check it out.

DeD is my 2nd most profitable track behind OP. Like I said, DeD isn't conducive to traditional handicapping methods, so if you end up on lower priced horses most of the time, you will slowly die there (maybe not so slow!!).

raybo, do you find that there is a strong bias on a regular basis...yesterday, front end speed was money.

delta every morning and watch every horse train and still get blown away.

raybo, do you find that there is a strong bias on a regular basis...yesterday, front end speed was money.

Bias is not a priority in my capping, anywhere, but no, I don't find an early bias on a regular basis at Delta. There was a pretty good early bias on Wednesday, but the track was muddy that day. Thursday the track was dry, or appeared dry to me, and there was not any evidence of early bias.

What I do find, at Delta, is that if you are a 1 horse bettor, and you use traditional handicapping methods, pace, speed, class, jockeys, trainers, etc., you will end up on a lot of low priced horses, and low priced horses don't rule at Delta, mid to high priced horses rule there.

My method is a multi-horse method, including horses that have different running styles. I never know which of my horses will win, but I do know that if any of them do, it will not be a low priced horse, I don't bet low priced horses, to win.

If you looked at a list of tracks sorted by average payouts of the winners, DeD would be very near the top. This, alone, tells you that conventional methods will lose there. OP is the same, as is EvD, and FG. These tracks are my bread and butter, in win betting and superfecta betting. The hit rate won't be as high as at other tracks, but the ROI really is outstanding.

Delta is, indeed, very tough for the average player. Things that work at other tracks just don't work there. Remember, this is cajun country and cajuns are a bit different. Not saying that shady stuff goes on there, but it is an unusual place.

You posted 3 or 4 horses in every race....you then play boxed exactas,trifectas,superfectas,.....DDs and pick3s and pick4s with all of your selections?
On top of the win bets?
